Outdoor Aisle

Muna, 18 March, 2009 at 11:31 Posted on Planning 0

We're getting married in hampshire and having a brief civil ceremony with immediate family only to make things legal than hopefully(weather permitting) having our "proper" ceremony in the grounds of the venue. We are going to have a few chair out for those guests who are not able to stand, but having the majority of people standing. I am looking for ideas on how to create an aisle for us to walk down - on a fairly low budget! I have found a couple of aisle runners as a start and love the idea of having trees with soft material draped between them as in the pic on this website http://www.outdoorweddingaisles.com.au/ but cannot find a cheap way of doing this - hiring bay trees seems to be quite pricey! Anyone have any other ideas on creating an aisle or on how to use plants cheaply?

It is a lovely idea to have the bay trees with the material joining them but if you are going to be having people standing you aren't really gonna see much of them, you could have rose petals on the runner for walking down but if you did want to go down the line of bay trees you could buy them from b&q
