Overseas Recruitment Agencies

Meep, 20 January, 2009 at 12:54 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 2

Hi All,

I was just wondering if anyone could recommend an agencies that deal with Middle East jobs (preferably in the finance area)?

I am considering moving to be nearer my Mum but would prefer to have a job lined up. I've noticed a few agencies but my google ability is out of whack today (prob due to a hangover ?)

Thanks in advance

    Hi,

I'm based in Dubai - whereabouts are you looking for a job. I found that most ME recruitment consultants were pretty difficult to track down via google. My husband found a job through a London based company who also dealt with the ME. I found a job (in finance) once I was out here. Depending on whether you're considering Dubai I could give you the names of a few agencies I used.

    Hi Scaredy-Cat,

That's what I'm finding, they don't really seem to have an online presence. It's not Dubai though, it's for Bahrain. If you know of any agencies that would be great Smiley smile

Hi Meep. Hope the hangover is getting better.

I am based in Abu Dhabi and recruiting is really slowing down at the moment. Someone else was asking for info about working over here and I did a long response with some bits about agencies who are based in Dubai but definitely have work throughout the Middle East. PM me if you want me to forward you that info.

Just to let you know, PricewaterhouseCoopers have an office in Bahrain - their HR partner is based in Abu Dhabi and I can happily let you have their contact details. Also National Bank of Abu Dhabi have branches in Bahrain too...and I am sure other banks as well, and again, can let you have HR contact details.

Just as a thought, if you cant get something specific to Bahrain, have you considered basing yourself in Dubai or Abu Dhabi and flying to Bahrain every now and again. A return ticket is around 150 pounds and its an hours flight - from Abu Dhabi anyway....? Just a thought.
