It's Shrove Tuesday (aka Pancake day!) this week. Will you be having pancakes? What do you like on them? We're having my parents, my brother and his gf over as thought it would be nice to do something as its our first year in our house. Trying to think of some original pancake fillings/toppings? I...

It's Shrove Tuesday (aka Pancake day!) this week.

Will you be having pancakes?

What do you like on them?

We're having my parents, my brother and his gf over as thought it would be nice to do something as its our first year in our house. Trying to think of some original pancake fillings/toppings? I normally only have lemon and sugar, but thought it would be nice to have a few options? I've heard of people having chocolate spread, maple syrup, banana. Any other inspiring ideas?

    These look very tasty! How did you get the chocolate to melt? Did you wrap the warm pancakes around the chocolate?

    We are having a pancake party, on Friday. We are just asking people to bring there favourite pancake filling, so we can all try different ones!

    I'll be doing a mushroom and broccoli cheesy roux sauce filling, pancakes rolled up and then baked with a cheesy topping. Leftover batter will be used for classic lemon and sugar desert.

    Irisbride - I just plonked the chocolate on after I'd got the pancake out of the pan. The heat from it melted it pretty quickly. I'm craving pancakes again. Gotta do some baking now so think I'll have some while I'm doing that.. Yum!
