We invited 190, and I reckon on the day there were about 150ish, even though people had loads of notice quite a few people couldn't make it due to work, holidays etc, and then we had a fair few drop outs nearer the day as chickenpox seemed to be going round!

I wish i could - but if i dont invite that cousin than that aunt etc wont be happy etc etc. It is either make everyone (including my parents) upset or on tender hooks with each other - or just bite the bullet.

If i invite one set of cousins and dont invite another set - then all hell will break loose!!!!

there are 10 on my dad's side and 10 on my mum's side!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, i am thinking that will hopefully be the case!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but i have to think of worse case senerio!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe consider what we do; aunts and uncles during the day, cousins in the evening...

That is what i really wanted to do, but if i invite half of ireland ? - then they have to come to the whole day really - cant just let them come for the evening do.

and there is only about 20 cousins that live here, therefore would be a shame not to invite them for the whole day to.

I know it will all work out fine in the end, it is just the initial shock!!!!!

This is what we are doing or else the 80 in the day would turn into about 120! Although most are now adults rather than aunts/uncles leaving their kids behind!

My fella's Irish, and we live and having the wedding in Wales, we are only inviting close friends, Auntys and uncs to the day, no cousins, we have whittled it down to 58 in total. We even had to adopt the no kid rule, to keep the numbers down, there was a bit of murder intially, but now they have cottoned on to the fact it's a small civil ceremony.?
