Parking ticket - grounds for appeal?

Mal, 17 March, 2009 at 08:47 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 2

If your car is black but they write on the ticket that it's blue, can you get out of paying it on a technicality? I am sure I heard ages ago that if the specifics are wrong, you can.

    I don't think so http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/consumer/savingideas/article.html?in_article_id=425551&in_page_id=181&ito=1565

Sorry but if you get a fine for a legitimate reason then you should just pay it

I can't be arsed with the hassle, it was Mr Mal's idea. It was an emergency and we had no choice but to park on a double yellow. It was at 7pm, and we weren't causing an obstruction or anything.

Fari enough - just pay it, you were parked on a double yellow line - they won't care that it was an emergency ☹️
