Passports, readings and music - got them signed off!!

Yesterday had a weddingy day/lunch time but it wasn't as a straight forward as I thought.

I get married on 5th Sept so thought I best get a wriggle on with my passport as I have booked honeymoon in my new name!!!

It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be.... Once I got the original form completed and signed off by a friend on Sunday. I printed off the PD2 form from the Passport office website so that I could get it signed by the registrar to then go with the application. I phoned the registrar up to ask if I could bring the form down and also my readings and music for the ceremony with the payment. They said 'just post it off to us with an SAE' - well not to be one to do as I am told!!

I 'conveniently' had to go that way at lunch time and popped in, if only to save the SAE but I'm glad I did.

They registrar had the wedding down on one sheet for 30 mins earlier than agreed (although the diary was up to date), the PD2 form I downloaded for them to complete, I was told the passport office don't accept print out - why put the thing on your website hten!! ARGH!!

The PD2 forms the registrar had were not acceptable either as they had been updated to include civil partnership and even though I am not having one of those the form would still be rejected!! So I had to go off to the post office to get a new PD2 form, which confused the post office as not sure anyone had asked for one before. And also picked up some spares so the registrar had the new version for future brides.

Once they filled that it, I had to go back to the post office where they thought my face may be too close to the screen - well thats how morrisons set up their photo booths!! anyway it did all go off!!

The readings they hesitated on one of them - as it was called 'what is a soul mate' and though that soul could have religious context but I kinda talked them out of that as it really doesn't

Then I had submitted the music for the ceremony and due to the venue being what it is I had to come up with 8 songs rather than 4...so gave H2B a quick call and sorted them out.....

So it was a good lunch hour yesterday but slightly more complex than I thought it would be..... but feel a lot happier that all these are signed off and paid for now!!!

eeek 45 days I think it is now!!!
