Hello!

I have a question - I have just sold a dress on gumtree and the lady who wants it lives in Africa so I said I wold also post it out to her. I have never had a paypal account until now as thats how the buyer want to pay. I recived an email form paypal saying that I have a pending payment but I have to send them the tracking number of the dress before payment - is this how it work, as I think its orde send the dress without payment first?

Hope someone can help.

You should always receive payment before posting anything!!!!!!! Log into your paypal account and check to see if anything has been paid in. Do not post it without getting the money first. it sounds a bit dodgy to me paypal would not send you an email asking for the tracking number.

Please make sure you receive payment before sending the item and i too, have not heard of ebay asking for a tracking number.

Perhaps you could email paypal to ask if it is their normal precedure and why they have asked
