? have you chased them? How far past the deadline are they? All of my side rsvp'd like good little guests. Some of my oh's friends we haven't heard a peep from, it really pisses me off actually because these are the people that I was trying to tell him he shouldn't bother inviting as although he was once good friends with them he hasn't seen them for at least a couple of years...no more than that because I have known him for just over two years and I have never met them! In my head they are not coming but I bet they suddenly reply two weeks before the wedding ?

Have you sent RSVP cards with the invites? I'm planning on but my FMIL reckoned it would be a waste of money as people still wouldnt RSVP.

Certainly did - it meant that the ones that came back were perfect, it's just a select few that are setting me on edge and with less than 8weeks to go I just want to elope ?

We went our initial wave out 4 weeks ago and only got a handful of RSVPs in the first few weeks. (And our RSVPs are electronic! No need to even go to the post. Just log in to our wedding website.) Anyways, both HTB and I started sending out "gentle" reminders that basically said: "We're looking forward to hopefully celebrating with you at our wedding! This is just a gentle reminder to RSVP as soon as possible. If you're still trying to sort your schedule, no worries, just let us know. If you feel you may bring a guest but are not yet sure, just include that in your comments -- we'll save a spot for him or her until you've confirmed!" Anyways, after such emails, LOADS of people RSVP'd. I think it just takes a little nudge sometimes. Smiley smile

Oh, and I must say: I'm secretly petrified that we won't MEET our numbers goal, which is 80. Smiley sad At first, I was scared that we would have too many, but now that some of the RSVP's are coming back as regrets, I'm crying on the inside that no one will attend as it's on a Sunday.

I think Sunday is a great day for a wedding...ok, maybe I'm slightlyt biased ? In all honesty though makes a nice long weekend for them if they take the Monday off work!

I'm probably going to be tortured by this as I'm the kind of person who rsvp's pretty much immediately (and always by post). It's so frustrating to think people aren't mega excited enough to reply quickly.

Big glass of wine and start the chasing tomorrow x

I see you're getting married in June Paula... I'm getting married in just over 2 weeks and we STILL don't have everyone confirmed yet!!! We sent invites out at the beginning of Feb (a bit later than i hoped after a problem with them being done on time)

My cousin who lives in Dubai still hasn't said if he and his wife are coming - despite me sending him FOUR emails to ask. Apparently he's going to tell me "in due course" - what on earth does that mean?!

Which means i can't do the seating chart which i'm making myself.

I've resorted to saying I need to know one way or the other so that if he's not coming i can give their places to someone else (yes, a bit rude i know, but not as rude as not rsvp'ing at all)

Some people have no courtesy at all. Get your rage out Paula!!

Four words spring to mind when i think about RSVP's.......BAIN OF MY LIFE!

Other things that fall into 'bain of my life' territory are: seating plans, plus one's and paying for the thing lol!!!

    xx
