People who have lost biggish amounts of weight

Did you keep your bigger clothes or get rid of them?

I'm trying to sort out my wardrobe at the moment and have quite a few things that are way too big, some of which I like a lot. They're too big to be adjusted. Should I get rid of them? I have absolutely no intention of getting fat again and I don't think I will, so it seems a bit pointless and negative. On the other hand I'd be gutted if I did get fat and had nothing to wear ?

I lost 3 stone and binned them.

I've now put it all back on and wish I hadn't ?

I've also lost three stone, and have got rid of all the daily wear stuff, but kept a lot of my dresses, despite the fact some dont stay up. I dont know why!

I lost 3 stone and I took great pleasure in getting rid of all my fat clothes and buying new 3 sizes smaller!

If you keep them if you slip and start to gain its easy to just move back in to the next size, whereas if you bin them if you start to gain you'll notice it and do something about it.

in the past i kept mine (at one point i had size 12 to 20 in my wardrobe) and it was so easy to put on and just grab the next size, this time i binned them and when my clothes are getting tight i have to do something about it.

Last time I lost getting on the three stones, I gave loads of my too-big clothes to charity shops.

I put lots of weigh back on (all my own fault!) and tho I wished I'd kept some of the bigger clothes from an expense point of view, I just don't have the room for several wardrobes!!!!! I also think, as others have said, knowing I've not got anything that fits is a great encouragement to stick to my eating plan!

I'm another one who lost 3 stone and I sent about 4 bags of stuff to the charity shop. I don't intend putting loads of weight back on again. Buying smaller size clothes is a big incentive to keep the weight off!

I lost 2 stone and dropped a dress size, i did throw out my bigger clothes. I've since put half a stone back on and the clothes are getting tighter but i'm determined to loose the weight again, i can't afford to buy new clothes.

I think if i'd have kept my bigger stuff though i would find it too easy to start wearing it again.

I have lost 6 stone and only kept one item to remind me how fat I really was. The rest I freecycled/charity shop. As others have said if you keep them its all to easy to put weight back on.

Well done to all you loosers! I lost 2 stone and never put it back on (apart from being preggers twice). I have vowed never to put it back on - that was 20 years ago and I never have. Once I feel my clothes getting tighter I stop eating rubbish.?
