Personal Messaging

I have to keep checking mine. I did ask if it was possible to get some kind of notification when we recieve a message.

Another forum I go on has a pop-up appear when you have a PM. Is great as unless you are expecting one I don't supose you'd ever check.

Yep I use a few other forums with the same system, don't know if it can be added here though.

I just had a message flash up and before I read it it had gone. Very strange?

The first few PM's I got were sitting in my box as I didn't realise you had to go and check them.

However, the last couple have been notified to me via email.

I have just checked mine and i had 5 messages. I think something to tell us the messages are there would be good.

Thanks for pointing this out Peter. I've just visited my inbox to find a message I didn't know was there. Does anyone know if selecting the enable email subscription button means we get notified of messages? I think I ticked this before and ended up getting copies of my posts and replies, which I don't want.

PS Do other people se [Edit tags] at the bottom of my posts? If so, how can I get rid of it please?

Aha, just found it! When I went into my Inbox just now there was a box for Sorting and Notifications, which allows you to receive email notifications when people reply to your private messages on the forum.

Bouncing for those that may have missed this.....
