He usually calls me Bab (very Brummie). I call him Babbah or Blah. He sometimes calls me Blah too. In cards or notes he always addresses me as Flangie-Pan and I always address him as Brummie.

My ex used to call me "kitten", which was a bit sickly sweet, but we only went out for 3 months max before I decided that we were better off as friends. He didn't take this very well, and even when we were just friends again he still called me it. Even when I started going out with OH. It took him about 2 years to get the hint that I didn't like it and wouldn't respond if he said it

We are generally 'babe' or some sort of jokey insult.

My ex called me baby and it makes me cringe when i hear it now.

    Called eachother 'baba' for years.

But he calls me 'bambi' because when i go out i have long tanned legs and with heels on and alcohol brain i walk like bambi ?

And i call him 'thumper' because when he wakes up in bed and stretches he does a thumper thump twitch thing haha!

I'm a bit confused by this. "That's what he calls his girlfriend" implies that 'his girlfriend' is someone other than yourself ?

Anyway, H calls me Moosey; I call him either Hamish (his middle name), Milhouse (as in the Simpson's character) or any one of a selection of girls names.

His best mate started it, in the fashion of Dr Cox from Scrubs. It's just stuck.

Could be worse... his sister calls him Fuggles!

I wouldn't say we use 'pet' names - although he does call me nubbin sometimes and I have in in my phone as doofy. Nubbin being for the extra bits, and doofy cause he's so unbelievably doofus like at times.

I'm called Nubbin by some of my friends, so it's not really a 'pet' name.

It's usually just Jen & Neil Smiley smile

Actual PET name is Juno the Westie and Donk the Goldfish (which is what I thought this thread would be!)

H calls me Kitten sometimes but only because my name is Cat, not because he calls all his girlfriends that(!) he also calls me his little angel which is a complete joke meant to annoy me and hunny or babe when he wants something

I call him hunny or bunny and occassionally hunny-bunnikins when I want him to do something for me / to annoy him. I also call him bear from time to time but that's more of a general nickname because he's known as Baloo bear to his mates due to his extra long arms

We never use pet names - H does always shorten my name, it threw me at the wedding during the vows because he never ever calls me Emma.

For a while i was calling H Bubbles. There was no real reason for it, but the joke was that it was because he had the memory of a goldfish. He calls me bunny or by my actual name.

I call OH Pizza. My Goddaughter used to call it him before she could get used to "peter" and it's kind of stuck. More of a nickname than pet name as my aunty also uses it and so does my mum sometimes.

    He calls me short a*se

Ok, to clear it up. I am his girlfriend and future wife. He called his ex "Kitten" also. That is a pet name he used for someone who is close to him. I am that close person now. It doesn't upset or offend me as a lot of people will transfer names to others. "babe" is a common one that is used for partners. You can't view it as if they've never called anyone else that. It would be silly to think that I am the only one he's ever cared about. "Imzadi" is the bigger name but it's awkward to say constantly so "Kitten" is a bit more generic Smiley smile I see no issue with that at all.

We don't really use any. "Darling" or "Lovely" is about as close as it gets (still pretty vom-worthy!) I never use babe or baby, for some reason I hate those words in a relationship context!

I still wouldn't be happy with that, sounds like a cop out so that he didn't get your name wrong at the beginning of the relationship if you ask me. ?

I wouldn't be impressed if my H called me babe, bab, honey or any other generic term of endearment. Because they're generic, and I am unique ? ?

This. Except that H does call me Honey all the time, but when you put it into a very fluffy context (those with a disposition to fluffyness should look away)

I am the honey to his bear (because i call him bear a lot)

We call each other my our names. He doesn't like pet names and never uses them. I will occasionally call him names, but not nice ones and only when he's being annoying.

I personally feel that's a reflection on the receiving partner, not the one using the terms of endearment.

He didn't have a girlfriend for a while before we got together so you're jumping to assumptions a little fast there. He is a wonderful man. Loving, caring ...probably the reason I'm marrying him. Fancy that! ?
