Petals

morristobe, 27 February, 2013 at 09:16 Posted on Planning 0 7

Has anyone come across a good site for buying petals? At my venue there is a red carpet which I will walk down and I lve the idea of having cream/white petals scattered down but I can only find small bags online in hobbycraft etc. To look effective I am probably going to need a tesco bag full, has anyone got any ideas? Or have any of you creative types made your own? If so what did you use?

Thanks

I'm collecting petals. Any flowers I get or if I see some reduced in a shop and grab them. Take them home and dry them out. There are steps online and YouTube video to help. x

Dry flowers - maybe ok, but if you are having fresh and they are down 1st you will have all of your guests trampling on them as they get seated and they will all be bruised and squashed, better to wait until everyone is seated and then send up a flower girl, or a young member of the family

I got mine from Shropshire Petals, and they were good quality and quite reasonable. Sometimes you can get discount codes keep an eye out!

I've just dried my first lot from my valentines flowers. I'm not sure i will ever get enough to use for confetti but I've got over two years to collect them. I've asked family and friends to give me a shout if they have any flowers about to die! A lot of people have recommended that Shropshire company though.
