Pets ruining 'couple time'

Tizzie, 14 December, 2012 at 23:33 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 12

H and I went out for tea (nothing fancy just Nandos but it's the first time we've been out somewhere in ages!) and we came home and were cuddling a bit. We've not had sex or done anything remotely intimate in ages either.

Moby (the cat) comes barreling through the door, jumps on the bed, up onto my shoulder, meows at H and the climbs under the covers in between us and settles down (all while givin us cute "don't throw me out" eyes) he never goes under the covers and is very rarely in with us at night. He's now looking very content and falling asleep.

H just sighed and went "bloody hell this is what it's going be like when we have kids isn't it?!"

Do your pets pick just the best time to come and interrupt you?!

I have 2 kids and no pets but pets would be off limits to coming in to my bedroom anytime they liked just like my kids are.

Tizzie leave the cat in bed and get you and your man to the sofa (with the door shut)! x

Errrm yes. Far TMI, but we just got a bit "intimate" in the sitting room, while Mak the cat sat literally rolling his eyes at us, tilting his head cutely, as if to say "dad, what ARE you doing???". Bless him. He also does the whole under the covers thing, but usually after we're ready for sleep, or sleeping!

He doesn't normally come in but he can open the doors and just barges his way in everywhere. If he sleeps anywhere it's normally the foot of the bed.

And lilmiss, we own our house with my mum and brother. Our upstairs living room is the walk through room to get to the bedrooms. May be a little awkward when my mum goes to bed ?

Our oldest goes to the bottom of the bed and huffs and flounces. The little one likes people breathing on his neck so as soon as any sort of heavy breathing starts he comes over and shoves his neck over my face, he also tries to peek in between us and see what's going on. 'Tis very funny and it's usually at that point OH kicks them out. The little one also likes to have a nosy round the back when OH is on top and that usually gets him kicked out too ?

Once our dog (the fostered one) sat on the bed from start to finish with DH and I. We were in the moment so didn't notice until afterwards. Dog seemed totally nonplussed which was typical of him. Our pooch now doesn't like it though, at the slightest hint of heavybreathing she whimpers or goes off to to upturn the rubbish bin in the bathroom.

I cant have sex in front of the cats. It just feels wrong having an audience, even a feline one.

We leave ours shut downstairs. I remember once an ex and I were getting down to it on the sofa and my old cat, at the time a kitten, pounced up onto my thigh/knee and balanced there!

    I couldn't either!!

When h lived at home his dog used to like to stare at us and I'd have to stop and get h to put him outside in the hall or living room.

Your stories are definitely cheering up a morning doing legislation in office management anyway!!
