Pew Ends *creative people please!*

Flamin Nora, 6 August, 2012 at 12:24 Posted on Planning 0 16

Sorry for the mega picture!!

These are our pew ends and I want to decorate them to make them a bit prettier but I have no ideas!

Our colours are blush pink, light orange and lemon.

Any ideas appreciated.

Could you get some organza in your colours and use that to tie them to the pews?

You could add a flower where the ribbon meets the heart?

A big (ish) one or a couple?

Do you think it would be odd if they were all slightly different? Like the organza as Kharv said but the three colours alternated?

I would have a large flower and coloured organza (if anything, I quite like them as they are!)

I would also make them different colours, not the same.

You will also kick yourself for worrying about something that I promise you won't even notice on the day! ?

Personally I'd alternate the colours down the aisle but mix each one with an ivory too. So orange and ivory, pink and ivory etc. Just to soften it a bit and tie it in with the heart.

I agree with Mrs C that on the day you won't care but I must admit I love looking at photos of my little touches and loads of people commented on them.

Oh absolutely... I didn't mean that they won't matter, my details mattered to me... just meant that we get wrapped up in an enormous level of detail sometimes... I didn't even have pew ends!

I'll get back in my corner now...

I know Mrs C, I'm already driving myself mad as I know I won't even care/notice but these are the only decorations we are having at our ceremony.

I think I'm going to go with the organza and single flower, and just go with the flow with the colours!

I went to a wedding last week where they used these hearts all around the marquee as well as for pew ends. They looked lovely. Didn't get a photo of them as pew ends but you can see them hung up here.

They look lovely! You've given me a bit more to think about, may do them all a little different to one another.

They were from Dunelm, over a year ago though!

Ooh, I have the same ones!! (I bought them from Dunelm a couple of weeks ago so they still have them)

I'm decorating mine in the corner with flowers and then hanging them on lace ribbon and twine. I can't flash the picture for some reason so here are some pics I used for inspiration:

    Hope that helps!

If you don't want to cover up the front, you could tie a strip of ribbon of each of your colours and have them trailing down to the floor. I would add a strip of ribbon lace to add texture. Your colours sound gorgeous!
