Photo Albums

Miss Twizz, 8 March, 2014 at 20:07 Posted on Planning 0 13

Has anyone looked at Photobox albums? We can't pay the prices for albums from out tog but loads of people have been recommending photobooks from photobox..... Only, am I the only one who doesn't like ANY of the themes??

I mean, I like the patterns on a few, I like the bow and the hibiscus flower one and a couple of others but the colours are all wrong! SO many baby pink and blue etc.... Wedding is wine red and gold, they'll just look silly and the beige/plain coloured themes don't have as nicer graphics as the coloured ones

Any suggestions for other places I can look for photobooks with a better range of colours and themes? Or even better, somewhere I can choose a theme and get a choice of colours! That would be brilliant!

Thanks ladies Happy Saturday! xxx

As mentioned above, Artisan State and Blurb do some good value plus good quality products. Opt for higher quality paper for longevity of your images....

I'm having a Hitched Stirybook. You can customise the colour scheme and basically have whatever you like. I love that it's not just photos, but you can include the text of the readings, prayers, speeches etc as well as messages from guests. We're going to have a honeymoon page, which means waiting another four months after our wedding but I think the finished product will be worth it. The prices are really reasonable as well, although I did get a special deal at the National Wedding Show.

Hi, thanks all! I'm going to have a look at Blurb, this seems the most recommended and sounds good.....

IGB2B I've never heard of these and I might be being daft but where can I find them? I can't see anything on Hitched apart from all the stationary, what am I missing? ☹️

    Thanks xx

    Hi

I would recommend Vistaprint, they are great value and if you add the gloss to the design the photo book comes out really amazing. Also the front of the book can be an image of what ever you want, you can choose the colour all of it is to your specification. You can order many sizes as well and the best bit is the photo books range from £7.95 to £25 pounds + (depending on size). I had a small book done for my parents and it was exactly what I wanted really lovely.

This is an online system etc so upload all the images from the TOG onto your computer and upload online, place them as big or as small as you want to create the photobook. Good Luck x

If I can be so bold as to suggest our Premium Photobooks.

Our albums cost more than Photobox - however we provide a free design service, the albums have lay-flat pages, and our printing and hand-binding means they are much more durable with professional print quality. Loads of photographers use our service (repeatedly), but we sell to the public through our website too. Please feel free to give us a call if you have any questions.

    Best Regards

    Marc :-)

I'm going with Milk Books, sleek elegant and contemporary design. I'm a graphic designer/illustrator so I crave creative control and am VERY FUSSY on design elements (artsy personal choice of style blah blah)

they're ... a touchy pricey but not as pricey as the ones my TOG does and they ship from new zealand! so paying for shipping and VAT on top. In the last sale they had i bagged a 120 pages for £65, it'll cost £20 to ship and I think £15 in tax(?)

Oh, thanks for resurrecting my thread! I never did sort this out! Lol, it's kick started me into looking again - thanks cymruangel! I'll have a look - I quite like the story book idea but some of these others sound good too! I just want to have control over colours/design like you Elixia ? Apparently we're just too fussy ?

Yeah I can be a designer snob sometimes, OH too. Also i tend to like modern, minimalist style which is super hard to do! Even with me and OH making our invites there was 'debates' on colour colour schemes, fonts, design elements, the works!
