Photo canvas recommendations please

Kentish Gal, 5 October, 2013 at 16:50 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 21

I want to do something like the below for our new look bedroom. I really love the idea of the images capturing all our favourite memories, and the flavour of the day, without being cheesey wedding pics of the Cheshire Cat bride & groom!

I've never bought canvases online and it's going to cost a few pennies so I'd rather go to a recommended site that others have used. Grateful for guidance!

Have you got pictures on a similar scale to this already? If not, by the time you crop in and then blow up to canvas size, you might end up with some seriously low resolution images.

Most won't need cropping I think, I've not looked through the pics lately but I've 5 or 6 off the top of my head to use as they are, for 4", 5" or 6" square. Hand fasting, rings, flowers, dress, family bunting, shoes etc. Haven't decided where/size yet.

I used my-picture.co.uk recently to order two canvases. They were great. Good price, good quality. I'd use them again. Smiley smile

Kharv, are they canvas or prints? I may be man-looking but can't see canvas options...

Oh hang on, I'm completely lying! The Living Social deals for My Memory were for photobooks (also good btw)!

I got KGB deals for canvasses from http://www.imagestotreasure.co.uk/.

The others don't seem to do small enough. I have found somewhere that'll do me 9 of 6 x 6" for £100 incl postage which is the region I was looking to pay, but I might keep scouting around for a bit.

    Thanks all!

Found an eBay supplier doing 3 x 6"sq. canvas for £18. So £54 for the 9. We just aren't the sort to put big photos of ourselves in the house, but I'm still head-over-heels in love with our wedding day so really happy with the result Smiley smile

Aye! Been crazy-hellish-busy with the job, plus trying to do up the whole house, and am 7 months pregnant. I miss the wedding fever of Hitched but it's just not been at the forefront Smiley smile

These are absolutely beautiful. I hate having my photo taken, it's the one part of the day I'm really not looking forward to. I love this idea though and I'm going to ask for some specific photos that I can do this with.

I really like this idea but can't decide between canvases or framed prints.

Also seen some that look like oversized Polaroids which I want to do too but not sure where!! Need to get walls prepped and painted first so no hurry!!
