Photobooks (again!)

Trish2014, 10 July, 2014 at 22:14 Posted on Planning 0 13

I know this question has been asked before but we are hopefully getting our professional photos back in a couple of weeks and want to make a photo book as we haven't gone for an album from the photographer. Can anyone recommend which ones to look at? I've had a look at a few sites and know which ones I like the look of online, but it would be good to know a bit about the quality of them as well.

Photobox I think is the best but that's just my opinion. They also have a photo book app which is amazing for getting all your photos off your phone or ipad. Good quality and not too expensive x

I got a few hard backs from http://www.huggler.com/ for my family they always have cheap deals on but the quality is excellent considering the price.

For non commercial, I would suggest Bobbooks or Blurb. Go for the higher quality paper that the latter offers for exceptional print quality.

May I ask what your budget is for a photobook? There are a lot of options out there.

Has anyone had any experience with milkbooks?? We're looking to spent £100 on an album for ourselves and I keep getting offers from them but haven't brought anything yet. We has a blurb book as our guest book and it was lovely, photobook I think they call it, the picture quality was really good. We did photobox albums for parents from a groupon offer which we're good but we just want something a little more special for us. I have seen that photobox do a premium book but that's a similar price to the milkbook photo album so don't know what to choose.

Every year I make my niece a photobook of pictures of herself from the last year - so when she is grown up she can see what each year of her life was like and how she changed. And I always use Snapfish. I always think they are great quality. But they are pretty pricey and the more pics and pages you add in, the more expensive it gets.

Youcould always use somewhere like that to get the photos printed and get a nice leather photo album that you stick the pictures in - take it old school. There are some lovely companies on places like Not on the high street, who make lovely, and personalised photo albums. Price for price, it would probably work out about the same.

I've used photobox for holiday photos and they've always been really good quality, and you can get good savings.

Thanks everyone for your replies. We're probably looking at a max of £100 for our book, but might also do another cheaper one for our honeymoon too. I did have a look on photo box before I asked the question and I like the interface that they use, but I'll have a look at a few others that have been mentioned too. I'd not heard of huggler before so I'll definitely have a look on there!

If you'd like a professional album for not much more than Photobox etc you may want to take a look at our website. We have eight sizes, in portrait or landscape, with lay-flat panoramic pages, a free expert design service, and the ability to check your design to ensure you're happy with it before printing.

    Best regards

    Marc
