PhotoBooth

laura_longlegs, 28 January, 2013 at 21:39 Posted on Planning 0 6

Hi all bride to be's!

Need some opinions from you all; what do you think about a photobooth session for the evening reception? Is it a great form of entertainment? Overly done now? Or an unnecessary expense?

All opinions greatly received so I can decide whether to go for it or not as I'm on the fence!

Thanks

Laura

    Depends on:

    Where you put it

    How freaky your friends are

    How many guest you have

Some togs will supply their own, every tog has a different standard and level of work, ask to see examples.

I wouldn't spend out on one though to be perfectly honest. I do them and sometimes they get used heavily, about 100 images was the most we got out of it once.

Sometimes though it never gets used. If you put a price on it at the going rate of £500, for an average of 50 images...£10 per pic...worth it or worth the risk?

If you have a budget for one, find a tog who will supply one too.

It depends on the dynamic of you and your guests. It certainly isn't for all, although can be very popular IF you and the guests are that way inclined....

We have thought about this, and in the end have decided on hiring a photo wall like this: (Sorry it is massive!) and buying a polaroid camera. We will also leave a pen and a photo holder so people can write messages on and have it as our guest book. With the hire, camera and film, it is about £150.

    Hi,

It is from a company called 'The Very Vintage Hire Company'. they have a website and a facebook page. based in Exeter, but I bet you could find others if you are not near here.or have a crafty family member/friend make one?

Woaaah love that vintage wall! Nice! I think photobooths depends on your guests and what you want out of it. If your guests quite like fancy dress/silly photos, and you'd want to use it for a guestbook or just for memories, then go for it! They're a good way to entertain guests during the reception whilst you're off having your formal photos done!
