Ok I've just had a quick google and wow - some very long and comprehensive lists which make it all seem a bit contrived! but you wouldn't think it when you look through someones pictures.

anyway here's a couple I thought would be good

    The Frugalbride one is excellent:

'The photo list is every photographer's guide, but it can also be their nightmare. Lists can assist your photographer to do their jobs in some areas of your day, but they can also hamper the creativity of your photographer.'

The above cannot be understated even if you were to say it quietly from 5 miles down the road.

    What Chris said ?

An experienced photographer will do the majority of shots on these lists as a matter of course as they happen, and the last thing you want your photographer to be doing is working off a huge list, and missing the special moments which are spontaneous - and these are often the best shots. By all means let your photographer know if there are any out of the ordinary shots which you really want, but if a reportage photography style is what you're after then a big list isn't the best idea.

Always create your own list, never use somebody elses otherwise you just tend to say 'yes' to everything and up with dozens of them which can take a lot of time out of your day.

I work on the 2-3 minute rule, every picture takes 2 to 3 minutes, it's a good rule for making sure your list / time expectations are realistic.

    i.e 10 groups (20-30 minutes).
