Photographer - Cardiff

Have you looked online to see what kind of coverage you may be after? Usually when someone contacts me, they have already seen enough of my work to know if they like it or not, and a meeting is to help them decide the 'person'. I guess what I am trying to say is the research before meeting with the masses of photographers out there will help you alot in weeding out the ones you don't feel 'wowed' by. Hope that makes sense. Don't be dazzeled by what album or what's in a package,, just look at the images. You are fine to be picky, but wait to meet with any other photographers after you have a really firm idea of what it si that you are looking for. You may not be keen on the strict traditional, and yet are savvy to notice that not all photographers are good at reportage. Look for composition, the use of natural light, the ability to capture moments that look relaxed and look for their ability to capture the atmosphere, and feel of a wedding. Good luck, you will find the right fit,, just gotta find the balance between great work, and the likeabilty of the person behind the camera, that too is important.

I've shot in Cardiff, I do travel, so don't limit yourself to just people in Cardiff. The shot on my site with the bride with the massive long veil blowing behind her was by the sea in Wales.

Thank you teri.....i have looked at hundreds of websites, some i am put off by the albums they offer, some i just don't like the general feel of the website. we have had a couple of meetings and i know the style i want (mix of reportage/fashion style shots and some traditional posed pics, with a traditional type "picture stuck on" album rather than coffee table style printed paper book)

i think it's just waiting for that "wow" moment - for me photography is really important but we don't have a massive budget (max about £1200) and it is really important to us to get images on cd also which is proving to be a sticking point for lots of photographers who don't offer this.

Hey there, we got married at the St Davids Hotel on Cardiff bay - it was brilliant!

I have a photographer who is called PictureWales and they are very reasonable, his pictures seem good and thats all I want. I didnt want to pay a fortune so if they are not as expected then there be it but from what I have seen they are fine!
