Photographer who will give you all the files

MayDay, 20 April, 2008 at 21:03 Posted on Planning 0 15

Anyone found a photographer who is willing to hand over all the digital images? I really don't want to pay £10 odd for reprints and would really like to have all my images to myself. I'm getting wed in Surrey (just outside Farnborough).

Hi, you'll find most wedding photgraphers who shoot digital will have an option for you to buy your digital 'negatives', some will even include it in with a package.

    Good luck!

    Yes,

I have an option to buy a copy of all the images full res on CD.

But please be aware that is really isn't as easy to print professional grade images as every one thinks.

For example each and every print a customer orders, I indiviually check, adjust and if neccesary do minor touch up on, removing shine on a brides face for example. I then get the prints printed on a machine that cost £250,000 we use special inks, that don't fade, or checmically break down over the years, along with papers that don't fade with sunlight. Finally the prints are further coated to increase their longitivity.

There is a reason they cost money, and you'll not get the same results on your inkjet.

Every customer I have sold a CD to, has also brought prints, and if you buy enough prints / albums, I throw the CD in for free!

If you do have high-res files from your photographer, and they have been
prepared for printing, then you can get archival prints yourself.

I do and the images are prepared for printing. I'm based in Farnborough, hampshire.

I won't post my website link 'cos by hitched rules we shouldn't unless asked for it. mail me through hitched or search for me by name and I'll pop up quite quickly!

    Best wishes

    Brian.
