    Hi Stuie!

We're not a scary bunch, honest! Is this your booked photographer or is it just a meeting to see if you like them? I'm usually more nervous than my clients at these meetings (I disguise it VERY well!). They'll probably structure the meeting themselves as they've done it hundreds of times before, they'll show you albums ask about your day and find out more about the type of photographs you want.

You've probably got a few questions in mind, just dont foget to ask them at the meeting. You'll find LOADS of previous posts about the types of questions you SHOULD be asking, I say go with the flow and ask what comes to mind as being important to YOU, things like, how long do you stay? How many photos do we get? Do you work alone? Is it definately you that will be photographing our wedding?

Good luck Stuie, its great to tick something else off on your list isn't it?!!!

    LOL

    Nicola

Also check the contract as to what is being supplied. Be very sure that you are happy about this and don't be pressurised in to signing until you are very happy and very clear about precisely what you are getting.

    Questions to ask:

Are the final prints on long life archival paper?

If we are getting a disk of images, what filesize are we getting(some only offer files big enough for 6x4 prints)

    What album is included?

How many images will be in the album and what size will they be?

If you are unwell on the day, what will happen to our wedding coverage?

If the weather is bad, what ideas do you have for our wedding?

Are the proofs online and if so do we also get proper proof prints?

Can our guests order prints from your website?

What price are the reprints for our guests?

These are just a few basics..and as Nicola says...we photographers are not all bad....despite the rumours.

Always wanted to do one of these since they became possible. Despite having several friends that are gay, they haven't tied the knot.....so I am still looking....

    Have a great day.....

If you are nervous/concerned then it might be an idea to suggest a pre-wedding engagement shoot. Many photographers offer this and it is a great way to become familiar with the way that a photogrpaher works. You get a great collection of informal images and you understand how the photographer works and what they might ask you to do. We do many of these and the feedback is always good.
