If you read my other regarding my wedding photos you will know im going to ask my photographers permission to have someone else reprint my photos to see if any good can be made of them.

As ive said before some i have my eyes half shut, one our son has his eyes shut, there are wonky adges due to how they have been cut and alos one of them has been lent on to write on!.

Also i want them in a more professional album as the album they are in,i could have bought at qd basically!.

anyway i was just wondering if there were any photographers willing to take this on and roughly how much i would be looking at...please feel free to email on ***********@*******.***

thanks

Hi Destiny....The reason that this thread has been quiet is that many professionals "may" want to help you although it is a minefield for several reasons. The main issue is copyright. Any professional would not touch your images(assuming that you have been supplied high res files) due to not wanting to be in breach of copyright infringement which could end up with the helper being hit with a lawsuit. The only hope would be to get written permission from the photographer allowing a third party to manipulate the original photographers work.

There was a case similar to this on this forum just over a year ago. Another photographer worked on an album for a hitcher, using the original photographers images. The trouble was that the originals were not good and despite the album being a step up from that originally supplied, that hitchers emotions ran over and she started blaming the photographer for the "shoddy" album.

As I said, its a minefield. I am really sorry as this doesn't help you, although wanted to explain the reasons why no photographer has replied. If any photographer wants to help, PM Destiny and do not post your intentions on here...this is an open forum and your posts are google-able..

We are prepared to look at them and work with them so long as the original photographer is cooperative. We can be very diplomatic with the original photographer

The original RAW files would help a lot, whatever state they are in. We would take the job on as the same basis that a professional lab does when editing a professional photographers files

We would not be able to quote a price untill all the files are infront of me. . You can't turn a sows ear into a purse, however, we can do a lot with a mediocre file. Untill we see the files, we wouldnt be able to say what can be done

    Hi Debbie

Sorry to hear about all the problems you are having its such a shame when you really look forward to seeing the pics after the event. Can you PM me the details of who you used all, we have several contacts in the shop who may be able to helo you providing you get the copyright issues sorted, one is a very good friend, so I can ask advice if nothing else.

Would love to see them though, even though you aren't happy with them, bet you looked fab.
