Photographs - does anyone have a list of possible poses?

The Duchess, 11 February, 2009 at 00:07 Posted on Planning 0

My niece is getting married and she's not sure on what photos she needs/wants. Ie, family friends, who's with who etc??

Does anyone have a list of the photos that are must haves for them that might inspire her???

    Hi Duchess!

It really all depends on her photographer. If they are traditional types then they'll probably already have a set pattern they run through. If they're more informal types then your niece will need to tell them exactly the group shots she wants. A typical list from my couples will read as folows (bear in mind I'm a more informal phtoographer and spend no more than 30 mins on group poses):

B&G plus both sets of Parents (1 photo of each set)

    B&G plus Brides family

    B&G plus Grooms family

    B&G plus all friends

    B&G plus wedding party

    B&G plus everyone

If your niece DOESN'T want to spend 2 hours on formal group photos then suggest she keeps her list to the bare minimum as above. Hopefully her photographer should be contacting her nearer the wedding to discuss all this anyway. Her photographer should not need a list of the basics like, bride walking down aisle, signing of register, etc, these should be shots he/she will take anyway.

    Nicola
