Pinatas - anyone used one before?

bigpants, 17 November, 2008 at 18:36 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 4

Want to get one for a party next weekend. Really stupid question I know, but how did you hang it up?? I take it it needs to be suspended from the ceiling somehow or am I missing something really obvious....?..happy to be sent to the 'dosey' bin if necessary

They normally have a loop at the top. When we've had them for children's parties we've screwed a hook in to the top of the door frame (just filled it in later and painted over).

I know it's not much use in the winter, but we hang them from the washing line....

We hung from a hook in dining room ceiling before we got it decorated.

WW666, how do you get it to stay on the washing line?

    Thanks for the replies

hmmm, may have to re-think pinata idea as it'll be indoors and party will be in a rented flat, not sure I can risk hanging it from door frame and not putting hole in the door (party is for adults so not children bashing it). Oh well, thanks for the feedback anyway.

We had one at Mr M's birthday BBQ a few years ago and hung it on the washing line. It was a bit of a nightmare, the stick was sooo rubbish that we ended up using a baseball bat. ? Still a laugh though!
