I placed an order with a well known company a month ago for a couple of pairs of jeans, they have never arrived. I have complained and they said they were delivered on the 12th June but I was here all day and they didn't come.

They are saying it isn't there problem and I should contact the police as they must have been stolen from my doorstep?

Does this sound right to you to contact the police? Surely they have better things to do?

erm, assuming they have nothing signed by 'you' as taking them from their courier, they should not leave it where it can be stolen, i think it is very much their problem actually

That is mad. Surely the onus is on the sompany to prove delivery. Had you given permission for them to be left on your doorstep? It is their risk to do so, I would have thought

I would say it is their problem.

Ask them for a proof of delivery, ie your signature

They say they don't need to be signed for? I know it is only £60 but they won;t replace or refund unless I speak to the police and get a crime number but I think this is wrong and wanted to check if it was me being over annoyed at them

sorry wonka, and i certainly don't think that! ?

They left my parcel on the doorstep once, so i just wondered as their view was pretty similar when i asked them not to do that, that it would not be their problem, therefore they were not that bothered/

    That is completely mad.

I don't understand their logic - how can they prove they ever sent anything at all if they don't get P.O.D's.
