"please come home now cat" vibes please *updated* with photos added

Hi,

My lovely 4 year old cat Dillon has gone missing this weekend ☹️ he was last seen Saturday breakfast time and hasn't been home since, we've been walking the streets and shaking the biscuits like mad people but to no avail. Please send your best Dillon come home now vibes please. I can't bare the thought of him lost somewhere or worse, hurt. I hardly slept a wink last night.

We have put posters up this afternoon but not heard anything, and he's not been found, we rang the RSPCA too. It's the longest he's ever not been at home and i'm worried sick, especially since he has been in an accident before about a year ago. [:'(]

Please come home boy we love you and miss you!

Thanks

Great news Dillon was found about 1/2 a mile away and was marched home! So we have one very tired and slightly thinner cat back! 3 days, 2 nights later!

Thanks so much for all your kind words!

Here he his - he's the black and white one (the foot was the car accident that happened to him over a year ago party why I'm so over-protecttive of him now)

I really hope he comes home soon. He's probably curled up somewhere under a tree having a snooze.

    Go home Dillon!

I've been in the same situation as you with our male cat.

He went missing for over 24 hours, we searched every where for him and couldnt find him and then he just strolled through the door and straight to his food like nothing had happened.

Fingers crossed Dillon does the same.

Thank you both. Yes he is microchipped and has our phone number and address on his collar. I just hope so much that he's ok

Perhaps he's with a lady cat?

I hope he comes home soon.

Sending you lots and lots of vibes.

Our cat went missing for 16 days (when we were on our honeymoon, so we didn't know anything about it - which in hindsight was a blessing as I was a mess on the day we came home and he still wasn't back...) but then he strolled through the cat flap as though nothing had happened (although he was much skinnier, bless him).

Anyway, thinking of you. Hope he comes back very soon

    xx

    Sendig you some vibes ?

Our cat went missing last month - turned up 5 days later as though she'd be away 5 minutes

Hopefully he's just shut in somewhere and the owners will be back to release him very soon

We had a phone call this morning from a lady who said she saw him at 4 this morning. We went out to look but couldn't find him. If this was him why was he just sitting in the alley way aroung the corner! I wish she'd phoned at 4am!

    I don't understand why he's not coming home, [:'(]

Awww, I hope he comes home!

Our cat went missing for 3 days (and he was an indoor cat who had never been outside before!) and he scratched on the door in the middle of the night and had come home.

They don't realise the stress they cause!

    Big Hugs!

    Thanks everyone.

Is there anything else I can do? I've rung the vets, we've put loads of posters up, I've contacted the RSPCA, the Cats Protection and the company he's chipped with. We've walked the streets for hours and knocked on doors. Is there anything else we can be doing? Or should we just wait now?

    Thanks

I think you'll just have to wait. Sounds like you've done everything you can

Our cat went missing for 3 days, he's only a year old, then just strolled back in as if nothing had happened

Sorry to hear that he is missing. It might be the warmer weather, ours never goes for too long but has recently taken to going for 24 hours, and only coming back when I go and look for him and bring him back! If he has been seen that is a great sign, he will come back in his own time. I would keep going out to look and call for him, and keep knocking on doors, maybe make some posters to put through letterboxes, just for people to tell you even if they have seen him. And don't underestimate how far they can go, make sure you speak to people a few streets away!

Hope he comes back soon and I'm sure he will. I know how worrying it is x

Thanks, fingers crossed someone will find him today. He's not very good at coming home on his own anyway, we often have to go and look for him, or he's sitting outside the house etc. he doesn't like coming into the house via the cat flap it would seem!

It's hard with everything else that's going on, trying to move house and also write up my PhD grr!! His timing as always sucks (not that it would ever be a good time to go missing!)

Thanks everyone! The positive stories really help!

    x

Thanks for all the good vibes they clearly worked! :-)

I feel like I can breath and sleep again now! He's a very naughty boy and will be grounded for a little while now!

I'm so glad he's back. My cat didn't come home last night and I've worried sick all day and then he strolled in this afternoon as if nothing was wrong....

Wonderful news! Just having a chuckle at the photos - the one of him on the laptop with the help page open is a classic ? He looks like a real character and I can understand completely why you were so worried.

He really is a 'character' he's great and has real personality. When we got him inside last night he had a real frown on his face and then he ate and just slept solidly right through until this morning. He seems a bit happier this morning! ........until he realises he's grounded for a little while that is! hehe
