Are they not getting married in your church?

Anyway, I would never attend a wedding sans invitation. I would never enquire about dates and locations with a view to crashing.

Especially if invited guests have been evasive.

What are you imagining is happening here?

Could it be they have invited you but you have not received an invitation? (Postal mess up? My Bridesmaids initiation went to the wrong address)

I am with footlong though, I would not 'crash' a wedding. Could you not speak to the couple and ask?

If it where my friends I would say something along the lines of 'Oi I haven't had my invitation yet' and see what they say.

If you had been sent an invitation but it had been lost in the post I'm sure the bride and groom would have chased you up on your RSVP as they wouldn't have received it.

I wouldn't go for that reason alone.

How close are you to your friend who is getting married, or are you more acquaintances?

    Haha! Well done detective mini.

I did think it was a bit odd to join hitched, post the same morning and not be a bride or groom themselves.

    Omg!!

I've just googled. Never seen so many forums with the same person's issue.

If this is real then I think you need to let go as it's taking over your life a bit.

There is not a single smilie that can do my guffawing justice. The picture of Columbo has just almost made a tiny bit of wee come out.

Maybe ask a mutual friend to enquire on your behalf, just in case it was a mistake and you were invited. It might be less awkward that way.

Either they missed you by accident (and will chase you for an RSVP) or they missed you on purpose, in which case just stay away. You cannot gatecrash a wedding.

...and stop peppering the internet with the same question everywhere, you're just getting the same answer!!

Everyone from my church will be there and they were all invited except for me and I will be the loser that didnt get invited. Even people from out of town that used to go to my church were invited.

    Troll perhaps?

I 'goggled it' too. Here's my favourite response...

Go, but wear the most elaborate dark midnight purple dress you can find, with a Victorian collar, and powder your face to be totally white, and wear crimson lipstick. Hide inside the covered slide on the playground and wait until all the toasts are done. Then, just as they're getting ready to cut the cake, slide down the slide and emerge, shouting,

    A-ha-ha-ha-ha!

You did not invite me to your wedding, but never mind; I came anyway. And I bring you a gift.

Before the year is out, you will give birth to a child.

And that child will be a RHINOCEROS!

    A-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!
Then disappear in a puff of smoke. (Or, if you can't, just run off as fast as you can.)

    ?

    Fixed that for you.

So you're not worried about missing a friend's wedding, you're worried about looking like an idiot?

    WWJD?

I think I'd rather be 'the loser who didn't get invited and therefore didn't go' than 'the loser who didn't get invited and went anyway' . They are both losers* who didn't get invited but the former is a little more dignified.

*That's if I was the sort of person who questioned my self worth just because I didn't get a wedding invite.

If this is real, it does sound like the OP is more interested in just going to a wedding rather than seeing her friend get married.

This is sheer genius. I think we should track down this poster and get them to team up with Mini to be the resident hitched Troll Bashers. It would be like that WWF wrestling - sheer cutting awesomness.

    God I love this forum!!!!!
