If you're just after something plain, I'd just keep an eye out on the high street stores. I have some satiny knickers from New Look and from River Island.

Thanks Joulz, bit too lacy. Also I really want something really sleek but special so wanted to try and branch out a bit from MandS and high street! I have this idea of a beautiful pair of delicate light blue silk briefs but no idea where I may have seen them. Looked at la perla and agent provocateur type places but didn't see anything suitable. Any little boutiques or stores anyone knows about?

These might be a little bit too different from what you want, but I have these. They have a little blue rose on the front, so you've still got your something blue.

Not sure whether you mean silky french knickers which are a loose fit, or skin tight boyshorts type? Do you think OH will know they are from the high street?

I meant a more tight boyshort style brief/knicker, but something silky and a bit luxurious than I usually get from DPs, Topshop, M+S etc. OH won't know at all and doubt he will care but I decided if I can't have a decent pair of silk pants on my wedding day then when will I?! The asos ones are nice too, a darke rblue than I want really but a good back up. I must have imagined the pale pastel blue ones I thought I had seen...

Gabbance I like those ultimo ones, is it really a blue rose? I can't tell on the pic at all! They are v cute and might well be an option.

Yup, definitely a blue rose, I have them at home! I have the matching bra as well, which is really good and stays up nicely - that has a little blue rose on too. The shorts are really cute though, and although I have not worn them for a long period of time, they feel really comfy!

I think that bouxavenue have some lovely stuff (thanks Teal) and I have seen some brill bikinis for the honeymoon. I wonder if I can justify spending money just before Christmas on stuff I don't need til next summer...?!

Those personalised ones are ace but the bows looks huge! I don't think my dress, which is quite narrow fitting, would quite disguise them, but thanks for the tip MrsG2B!

They do them in pale blue, they are kinda shorts and the most fitted silk underwear that I could find

I know you have found some now, but for anyone else wanting something similar. I bpught some from 'Gemmas embroidery' although they arent blue, I have got some that are ivory satin and finished off with blue embroidery stitching in my married name to be. Really lovely quality.
