Vegas!! wooo hooo, not too shabby!

I think you're doing the right thing by going abroad somewhere completely different. My sister discovered her partner was having an affair 2 months after their wedding and when confronted, my sister's wife said she didn't agree with being faithful to one person for life. My sis went & stayed with friends overseas when it first happened and she came back feeling much more positive about the future as she had the space to get her head sorted and come back feeling much better.

Firstly... You are an amazingly strong brave woman! Things will seem impossibly hard at the moment but time heals pain and over time things will get better and things will get easier! You are right for following your gut instincts,we are all here to offer you support and it sounds like you have got an amazing support network around you which is the main thing! Twinkle you are amazing, I know it's been said already but you are so damn brave. I know you'll say you don't have a choice but to be strong and get through it but not everyone would manage that as well as you seem to be.

Good advice from Kjay, def have someone near (but make sure they don't interfere!).

The marvelous Footlong (For the love of mrs brown) just got back from a trip to vegas and a few OTers have also been if you want some advice for what to do when you are out there.

I personally would switch of facebook for a bit. Close friends will have your mobile number and email. The worst is over now so keep your chin up.

I keep thinking I should be getting excited about Saturday and counting down to my wedding, but none if that exists anymore . Isnt Saturday when you head off the Vegas? Try concentrate on that and enjoy yourself. Just think, Vegas will be more fun than the wedding would have been ?

How rude and insensitive is his mother. Well he wasn't actually very fair cheating on you, especially so close to your wedding!

I am really sorry to hear about what happened. I can only agree with what every one else has said about how strong you are being and you can do so much better. It was a brave thing what you did and the right thing l think.

Thanks Ness. We met and it wasn't very nice. He didn't look good and was clearly upset but I managed to come across as cold and unemotional during the whole conversation. Fell apart when he left. Can't believe its been a week since that horrible call. Don't have any doubts at all though. I am really looking forward to Saturday and having such a great distraction. Going to spoil myself rotten shopping over there! House is being valued this weekend and my dad is going to sort it out with him from now on. I really hope all you lovely ladies enjoy your weddings . I've been Vegas twice. Its like the adult disney land! Love the shopping out there - I'm not a gambler really but it's all fun! You will have an amazing time. Good luck xx

I went in 2001 (I was actually there for sept 11th.) It was a fantastic place & you'll have a blast! My sis & I spent 4 hours just going round the shops in Caesars Palace! & I believe they've made it even bigger now!! & I can't recommend the Cheesecake Factory enough either. nom nom nom!xx

& def try an IHOP if they have one. Love those blueberry pancakes!

Hello ladies,

I am sorry I have not been on here for awhile. The last few weeks have been manic and to be honest I couldn't face anything wedding related! Vegas was amazing and had so much fun! Was a very good distraction! Got to do and experience so many different things.....which got me thinking about my life! Since I have been back I have applied for a job in Dubai through the company I work for and I have an interview tomorrow for it. I decided that I want something different from my life and now is the best time to try something different. I have the support from my family and friends so I thought I should go for it. No guarantee I will get it, but at least I would have tried. We have sold our house and I am living in it till it all goes through. I still feel really sad about it all, but I am feeling a lot more positive then I was a few weeks back. Thank you again for all your kind words and messages xxx
