Hiya ok so here is my dress it is ivory & still needs to be altered etc..

but as i hate my arms would a shrug or cover up go with it? im thinking something like this

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BRIDAL-SATIN-IVORY-BOLERO-WEDDING-SHRUG-JACKET-NEW-/280658260786?pt=UK_Wedding_Clothing&var=&hash=item870c66e1f5#ht_3845wt_905

or

or

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Short-sleeve-satin-bolero-jacket-shrug-top-shirt-/300417486774?pt=US_CSA_WC_Shirts_Tops&var=&hash=item8bb2dfa14d#ht_1614wt_1060

or just leave it as it is? it has slight off the shoulder straps?

I really like the second shrug. The lace one.

As your getting married in June you want something light and the other two look to heavy and I think would look a little heavy for your dress.

Those boleros you linked to only cover your shoulders. You could get your dress adjusted easily so that the dress itself covers the shoulders. If you don't do this, adding a bolero in that shape will look really odd as it'll sit just over the straps of the dress. Plus, if it's your arms you hate (although I must say that they look fine to me!) then those teeny boleros won't do much for you anyway.

    My advice would be...

either keep the straps on your dress how they are, with no bolero

or have the straps adjusted so they cover your shoulders more

or remove/substantially alter the straps, and have a long-sleeved or 3/4-length bolero to cover your arms.

That is what my cousin did at her wedding. It was a chiffon/voile type scarf/shawl and it was exactly as you described. It looked lovely!

I think you look fine and to be honest a shrug or bolero would make the top half of the dress look too busy.

I dont think you need one you look fine as you are, plus your veil covers your arms if you are worried about them.

I totally get the hating your arms thing, my bingo wings are lethal! haha

BUT I think covering up too much will spoil the dress which is why I am going to brave it! ? think about it this way, your OH is marrying you, arms and all so sod what anyone else thinks! (this is what I keep telling myself every day in the hope it wil sink in!)

I don't think you need anything either, from your picture your veil does enough and tbh i dont think it will be something that you'll worry about on the day. ?
