Please help me name my kitty cat!

PinkLady3, 24 June, 2013 at 20:32 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 25

Hi everyone!

I'm just a lurker around here but thought I'd speak up as you all seem like a nice bunch! Smiley smile

I am getting a lovely ginger kitten on Saturday and have no idea what to call him so any suggestions would be great?

Thank you. X

I had a cat naming conversation with my boys the other day for a friend.

My 2 yr old suggested "Hot Dog"

My 9 yr old suggested Big red, Rio (both angry birds related, I believe), and Furi.

    Kids shouldn't name pets.

When I briefly had a cat, it was called Bathory. (all my pets were named after serial killers)

Awww, he looks lovely (they all do!)

OH's parents have a ginger tom called Dylan.

When I was young I had a cat that looks like the one at the back, we called it Ug-Bug. I agree that kids should not be allowed to name pets!

My nephew has a girl cat who is the spitting image of the one at the back. In fact, the whole litter is very similar to the litter my boys came from.

Anyway, my nephew called his cat Darcey after his favourite speedway rider, Darcey Ward. He's 3 See, kids can be sensible.... That's why his guinea pig is called Spiderman.

I'm liking the Keith suggestion, Ned?, Bob?, Neil?. When picking childrens names my dad tried them out by shouting them from the bath, maybe you could stand at the back door and see which name you like best when calling him in for tea?

I hope there are millions more pictures to come because he is one hansome chap.
