    Blimey, they are very different!

I think the castle is fab and fun. The second one I like to but its more of a classic style.

Whats your theme? Does the castle mean anything to you? Does it match the theme, are you getting married in a castle, is it just something you've always wanted?

Hey at the end of the day, we all are going to be princesses on the day so why not have a castle as part of it! x

Castle. It's fun and different! I am having my SIL make my cake which is going to be a castle in purple, white with a little bit of yellow and glitter on the turrets. Castles have no special meaning to me, my wedding is classical and traditional so it won't really 'fit' in, but 'll love it because it 's her making it with love and that means more than anything. You go with what you want and sod people who tell you differently, to quote a hitched saying...your wedding your way.....

I cant say the castle is my taste, however its about what you love and not anyone else. If you are having the castle topper regardless then I prefer the base of the first one- it would work better

Yea i like the first one best - but you could combine the two and have the same shape as the first one, but have ribbons around the two cake tiers at the bottom, rather than flowers. so you still get the cool shaped tiers but you can use the ribbons to incorporate your colour scheme?

Definately the castle! It's different and I like that. The other one is nice but nothing special.

I don't really like castle cakes but that is amazing. I like the fact it isn't too pink and the detail is just lovely. Well done Jules.

Jules.40 that is some cake! you are a very talented lady.

castle cakes aren't really to my taste either, bit too princessy and twee for me. i prefer the second.

In case you'd like to know, there are a few castles/church spires in that range, so you could change that if you wanted to.

Additionally, the turrets etc can be coloured to suit your needs !

I've never been particularly into castle cakes but I do 100% prefer the castle, in fact i love it!! If it's what you originally fell in love with, go for it! Ignore the 12 year old cake comment. I don't think it looks like a childs cake when at a wedding as it fits in with a fairytale wedding type theme if you see what I mean?! Also in your colour scheme, it will look stunning, grown up and not at all child like!! ❤️

I love the pink and white castle cake on here too, the detailing is beautiful!

I must admit....I really like both....and all the other examples of castles especially Jule's one. They are both very different styles, the first is fun and the second is sophisticated, so it's very much dependant on what style of wedding you are going for. If you were after subtle and sophisticated, the second is ideal and the castle would look out of place. If on the other hand you wanted your celebrations to be fun and light-hearted....definitely go with the castle.

Sandy (totally indecisive and non committal as usual!)

I must admit I'm really not a fan of castle cakes. But clearly that is the one you fell in love with so that's what is important! Don't let other opinions affect your choice if that is genuinely what you want.
