Please help settle a discussion between me and my H2B - Would your other half.....

Unfortunatly i think mine would fall asleep himself whilst doing it, and i don't think that counts! :-)

Hmmm I think mine would say something along the lines of 'stroke your own hair!' or just s*d off! haha! again very loving!! but not when he's tired!

If he did, he would definantly fall asleep before me!

No, i dont think he would out of sheer boredom but he does bring me a horlicks most nights and puts the leccy blanket on for me ....

I've never asked mine for this particular thing, but he'd get my hot water bottle and an extra blanket and give me a cuddle until I'm asleep. He probably would if I asked.

Just asked him and got a very quick short sharp 'no' followed a couple of seconds later that actually he would (my heart soared and i felt a flutter in my stomach) then he carried on to say that he would only have to stroke my head 4 or 5 times and i would be asleep so wouldnt be too bad. And they say romance is dead. However you do have one yes from me!!!

OH sleeps on his front, so every night he cuddles me and strokes my back till I fall asleep then nudges me off to my side then rolls over himself. Not so much stroking hair, but I'm sure he wouldn't mind. So that's a yes.

We often fall asleep in each others arms while his stroking my hair or rubbing my back, both ways relax me.

I think he thinks if he believes you he'll have to do it!!! As he pointed out though it can take me over an hour and half to go to sleep! It took me long enough to persuade him I needed a kiss when he gets up for work before me! He loves it really though!!! ?

Bloke doesn't stroke my hair but he does often put his hand on my head as we're both dozing off, which at first I found really annoying but now I've got used to it ... I don't have much hair for him to stroke tbh - which I think he's a bit meh about - he'd prefer me to have long hair. He might stroke it then! (er - insert rude comment here!)

Yes and he does! But he does fall asleep mid-tickle quite often and I have to nudge him awake to carry on! ?

I often have a painful back or joints, and Mr FP strokes my head and back to make me feel better. He moans about it if I ask too much, though, but he is very sweet to me x

I love these wee funny chatty threads! Well I would like to think that my OH would. We do not live together and wont for another couple of weeks so we dont have a complete day in day out routine. He does like playing with my hair at times tho, and it is super relaxing. Mind you if he had 2 stay awake just to do that, well he might fall asleep himself before i did!

My H2B is waaaaaaaaaay too soft on me, he does pretty much anything I ask him and more so yeah he would if I asked. I've told him it's his fault I'm such a brat, he's made me this way by always being so nice to me and doing everything I ask lol!

We have quite a set sleeping pattern which I love. H makes me diluting juice every night and puts it in the fridge for me as I always need a drink during the night and then if we go to bed together I cuddle into his chest for a bit with twisty legs, then he cuddles into my back, then I cuddle into his back and hey presto generally fall asleep!

If I couldn't fall asleep and he was aware of this he would probably do something to help me but not sure if he would play with my hair, it would probably annoy me anyway.

I'm quite spoilt as I get breakfast made for me every weekend and he does a lot of running about for me like going to the post office, paying cheques into the bank and if I needed something like chocolate he'd go get me it after a few sad looks! hehe

Gotta be said, my H would! He's actually really good to me (though generally earning brownie points so he can go out! ?)

H2b ALWAYS plays with my hair even when watching TV, i NEVER ask him either. He always ask's me if i want him to do it if he wakes up in the night and i'm reading my book!!

Hi - just noticed you're from my home town, Wakey! Whereabouts in Wakefield are you? Mine would be snoring after the first stroke I'm afraid! But then he does get up at 4.ooam every morning for work whereas I can get up when I feel like it LOL!

Mine does all the time and I am usually asleep within ten minutes! I don't know if it is the hair stroking or if it is because most nights I have done a 18hr day!

Myself and Rich had only been together for about 2 months when I suddenly got ill and was rushed into hospital, after having 2 major operations (12 hours between each one) to save my life, Rich was there all through it, stroking my hair, wiping my face with a warm flannel etc etc.. being there was I in ICU, he never left my bedside for the 1st week...

I know this isnt very similar to the hair stroking thing to go to sleep but he topped that, I knew then that one day I would be his wife and I cant wait until 11th August 2012 to do this... getting rather damp eyes now lol xx
