Please recommend me your eye make up remover!

Marmite, 7 April, 2008 at 21:28 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 17

Thanks!
I have been using Clinique's, 'Take the Day off', but it is a tad too expensive now that I am trying to sort my finances out! Thank you.

Hmm, not sure it'd be much cheaper but my sis swears by the Lancome one. She used to use the eye one that's blue/light blue but she's changed to the general make up remover and says it's a bigger bottle and better value for money.

A pillow case and some sleep - wake up in the morning and tah dah, most of it has gone.?

Actually I use facial wipes - they seem to work really well for me. I haven't got a huge skin care routine, and guess I'm pretty lucky that I don't suffer any problems with my skin apart from it being a bit dry.

I used to use the Clinique one then I discovered that the Botanics one is virtually identical and much cheaper at £2.99 a bottle. It's often on offer too. You should definitely try it if you like the Clinique one, it really is just as good if not better.

    Hth.

Botanics is fantastic and removes waterproof too.

(as I was looking for the link for you I miss-typed boots as 'boobs' - luckily I realised my error before I hit the enter key otherwise I might have got a bit of a shock! ?)

Keep an eye out for Clinique Bonus offers as they often include an eye make up remover.

I also like Bliss lid + lash wash

The Simple eye makeup remover is great and only about £3? Don't listen to people who say Boots No 7 blue eyemakeup remover that looks like the Lancome stuff, is just as good. Because it isn't?

For taking make up off I use Boots cucumber facial wipes, they're usually on a buy one get one free offer so work out really reasonable and do a good job. ?

Then I use Clinique 3 step to clean my face properly.

I have some of this which I bought and used hardly any of before deciding I didn't like it. You can have the remains of the bottle to try if you like? Just email me your address through my profile and i'll send it off. ?

    Simple is the best.

I've used loads of different ones and Simple takes the lot off and doesn't string my eyes, like most others do. Definitely recommended.

Boots Botanics - the two-phase one. Honestly, I have never found anything that works better at any price.
After 2 years of trying every brand on the market (inc some v. expensive ones) when I moved out here (as I couldn't buy it) I gave up and imported it from the UK... did this for 6 years, until this year when they finally started selling it over here and I have started converting the Americans!

I disagree ?. Ive tried loads of make up removers including lancome and the only one that takes my mascara (normal mascara) off without having to scrub with the cotton wool is Boots number 7. It breaks the make up down before wiping off, its great. Also doesnt sting my eyes. Ive tried fragrance free stuff and simple but they kill my eyes and the next day people keep asking if Ive been crying.
