Pls help an old married - hen night ideas.

Quincy, 27 April, 2009 at 20:39 Posted on Planning 0 2

I am a BM for my friend in August, and have been tasked with co-organising the hen night. The bride has already booked us to do burlesque dancing and dinner on the Saturday night, but she is also wanting some activities to enable the group of girls to 'gel'. We are all pretty much strangers, so some ice-breakers would be good.

I got married 5 years ago, and had a very low key hen night with just close friends, so I'm a bit stumped.

Any ideas please?

A simple thing to do would be some sort of lunch or afternoon tea with a 'quiz' or something to help the gelling?

I am going to a couple of hen parties later this year - for one of them the afternoon activities is a narrow boat trip (if trying to steer the thing and get through locks doesn't help us gel then I don't know what will!!!). For another we are going to a jewellery making craft workshop for the afternoon. Special workshop just for the hen party and we can take wine, nibbles etc.

If you are more athletic then Go Ape is really popular at the moment.

    Other ideas:

    Chocolate making class

Pole dancing workshop (I've done one of these on a hen party though and HATED it)

    Cheerleading class

Another craft type class or workshop - plate decorating maybe

    A spa afternoon

My friend told every hen to bring a pair of pants. Then she emailed my intended with a list of questions about himeslf and me, and he provided the answers. Then at the hen do I was asked each question, and if my answer matched his - I was awarded a pair of pants!
