Pocketfolds Help ....HIBS welcome!!!

kerryanneellis, 26 September, 2009 at 09:43 Posted on Planning 0 12

Hi All

Im looking for 6'x6' pocketfolds in Matt Chocolate brown in vertical format

So far the cheapest ive found is 99p each from http://www.pocketfoldinvites.co.uk/choc-brown-matt-pocketfold-6-x-6-181-p.asp

Ive looked at www.cardsandpockets.com but they only do a horozontal format (Perfetto) not vertical which im after, i have contacted them and they will be doing a vertical version and will charge $1.50 (94p) but then i have shipping costs on top

Im looking for 75-80 pocketfolds so If anyone could me with a cheaper supplier it would be much appreciated !!!

Kxxx

I'd be interested in this as well because I'm looking for pocketfolds and can only find them roughly £1 each. If that's what they cost then i'll pay it but would be interested to know if they can be bought cheaper! x

You can get precut but unassembled pockets and wallets here from around 40p to £1 depending on cardstock and size:

    http://www.pdacardandcraft.co.uk/merchant.ihtml?step=4&lastcatid=89&pid=1272

Don't forget though to factor in the cost of envelopes and tape/gue to assemble them, along with card stock for matting and inserts etc

Try Invitations by Sarah-Jane - she made me some for our Silver Wedding Anniversary (not in chocolate but in British racing green and silver!) and they were brilliant - You can find her in the Hitched Directory.

Ladies - I can get you trade prices from the Pocket Invitation Company .... and they do a lot of different shapes/orentiation so hopefully they'd have what you want. http://www.thepocketinvitationcompany.co.uk/

I use PDA a lot for my stuff and they're ace, BUT I do find any 'self assembly' pocketfolds/wallets very time consuming to put together and you struggle to get as good a finish as the pre-glued ones as far as the quality of the finished article. I would prefer to pay a bit more and have them pre-assembled.

If you want me to get your pockets from the PIC I'd be happy to do so for you and they would come in a bit cheaper than their website prices as I'm a trade customer. Drop me a line at ****@*********************.**.** with your specifications if you can find what you want on their website....

    HTH!

    Hiya Kerry

They are lovely envelopes, personally I would go with the ready-mades but at 99p each you are right to be shopping around!

Have you tried the bay of e? Also maybe factor in how much your invites have already cost so far and see if you can justify buying them ready done?

What is the going rate for the budget for stationery? Ive budgeted about £300 i think, but thats including everything from save the dates to place names.

ps Replied to you the other day on my Sabelle thread, have bumped it up - re: suits

Pocketfolds are still probably the more expensive end of the stationery budget range (pre-made or bought to DIY)

My most popular style is below and these are my most expensive invitation but they are flying out the door at the moment following recent exhibitions.

£300 doesn't sound much I'll be honest for everything if you want the full suite from Save the Dates, invitations, name tags, menus, orders of service, table plan (if thats what you mean by everything) but its probably do'able if you're going for a simple design, DIY and don't need lots of everything....!

    Hiya!!!

I have ordered stuff from pocketfold invites. They do vertical invites they are just not on their website (I previously ordered the 5x5 card and got a letter from them which has details of their other stock). I think they can also do whatever shape you want. I just ordered 5x7 vertical pocketfolds not got them yet tho!! You should call them and see what they can do for you they are really friendly.

    Hope this helps!!!

Hi All - Thanx for all the replys sorry for the late reply couldnt get on Hitched allday yesterday for some reason!!!

Rainbow - Unfotunately they have to be Choc Brown and 6x6 to fit in with our colour scheme!!!

Mrs Snow Patroller - Thanks for the offer as they are up for sale at 69p pre made im going to purchase via Pocketfold Invites as ive already got their sample and they do a wide variety of Insert colours etc which i need and was going to purchase from them anyway -

Im making everything so dont want to purchase elsewear and it also works out alot more expensive as Mrs Snow Patroller says ....plus our friend is a Graphic Designer so is helping me design etc!! The complex & Inserts you have with pocketfolds the more expensive ......Agree with SP they seem to be at the more expensive end of the stationary market!!

My venue is doing place names, table plan & menus so that reduces my costs.

Will take a look at other thread!!
