Poems for invitations

I am in the process of printing my invites and I am wondering if anyone has a poem which I can put in to ask for either money for our honeymoon or gift vouchers. I know this is abit cheeky but we live in Arfica and won't be able to bring the presents with us! Thanks

Now come on girls you missed off my favourite

To save you looking, shopping or buying.
Here is an idea, we hope you like trying!
Come to our wedding, to wish us both well.
And make some use of our little wishing well.
Just put some money into a card,
    Now make a wish…..see that wasn’t hard!

Now that we have saved you, all that fuss.
We hope you will come, and celebrate with us.
Please don’t be offended at this type of request,
As our day will be complete having you as our guest.

Nothing like being rude and patronising!!!

Me and my partner have been together for 12yrs didnt really want gifts bought just for tradition sake, which you may already have or dnt wantbut accept gratiously as not to offend. I was thinking of having a wishing well and putting in the invite people were welcome to put a gift of money annonimously if they wanted to , that people would not feel preasred or arkward by how muhc.

But I have recently been told about a site called notanothertoaster.com it is fantastic you can requests anything you wish and your guests pay some thing towards or choose to pay for a particular item. we were going to have a basic budget honeymoonbut know we can have the little extras that can make it that bit extra speacial....... Ie a massage, A romantic meal, A bottle of bubbly whilst watching the sunset, A snorkling trip, a boat ride, A swim with dolphines ect ect you pick the lists

You can also use this for any idea ie...A. DIY progect your list may be a bath some taps, towels a sink ect ect On this site you can also use the same principal for your chosen charities if you wanted and I think this is a more personal way than asking for money, I also think your guests would be happy knowing what the money was going towards.
