Poll related to sweet buffets!

Fran @ Hitched, 22 October, 2012 at 17:11 Posted on Planning 0 22

I've seen so many sweet buffets featured on real weddings recently - so I wanted to get your views on whether or not you're going to feature a sweet buffet at your own forthcoming wedding reception?

I've said no but just remembered I am planning to fill the wishing well bucket with a few sweets just for the children.

I voted no, but we'll be doing a dessert table instead which I suppose is similar. There will no doubt be sweets around on tables, but no designated buffet.

We didnt have a sweet buffet but we got stuck for ideas of what we would put in the centrepieces so we had a different sweet on each table. They went down really well, all of the adults turned into big kids!

Yes, we are having a sweet buffet, it doubles up as a talking point at the wedding and wedding favours.

My cousin had one for her wedding last year and she had so many sweets in there and cakes it was a real treat. I have nicked the idea off her and just lookng for all the jars, vases etc

We are planning on a DIY sweet buffet. Most of our friends are sporty and love food, so thought it would be nice for them to have something to pick at all day/ night!

We had a retro sweetie table, mainly to kill to birds as we didn't have dessert option on our buffet.

I had borrowed a few from my house, from my mom and grandmother, but the majority of mine came from gumtree when people were advertising them. The scoops came from e-bay and so did the bags and personalized stickers Smiley smile

I voted no as we are not having a buffett, but we are having sweetie trees as our centrepieces, so there will be lots of sweets available for munching!!!

We got ours from charity shops. I managed to get 6 Sunday glasses for 99p in 1 shop (in my pic further up they have the love hearts in). The lady in the shop said that they always have too much glass so they price it up cheap.

Bags were from EBay at £1.99 for 200 inc P&P

Tongs and scoops wee also from eBay but via Hong Kong - got 3 scoops and 3 tongs for £4.99 inc P&P

I've said no. I don't think it really fits with the venue. We I'll have chocolate favours though

My sister had a sweet table and it went down well, particularly t the end of the evening.
