Fran @ Hitched, 4 January, 2013 at 16:51 Posted on Planning 0 56

We’re great loves of pets her in the UK, but do you love your pets so much that you want them involved in your wedding celebrations? We’d love to hear your opinions - even if you don't have pets!

Feel free to comment below....

Thanks,

Fran

Yes! But we have a very cute, small dog. Just have to train her not to jump up now!

We got the most amazingly beautiful little doggie a couple of days ago and can't imagine her not being part of the day.

As long as we're able to we'll include her as much as possible.

We would love our dog to be part of the big day but as we have the looniest boxer dog I don't think it's the best idea! Haha

Our 'potential' venue has said they can come to the ceremony ? Our dogs are a huge part of our life, so if they can be there it would mean a lot to us.

I must be at your wedding! My new ambition as of now is to photograph a wedding that includes pets! They're gorgeous.

I am generally an animal lover, although I don't currently have any pets. But I really dislike pets at weddings. Twee.

My insane Great Dane x Doberman was involved in my proposal so he should be included in the wedding. We're hoping to get married at the church down the road so he could come down after for some photos. He won't be there all day though.

I'm not personally a fan of the animals actually inside the wedding, but had my horse still been a live someone from the yard was going to bring her over all dressed up with matching ribbons for me to have photos with, my mum had arranged it all. Sadly we lost her last year so she will have to watch from on high with my grandad.

My pets are part of the family, so why shouldn't they be invited? Admittedly I only have a cat atm, and he would cause more problems than it's worth to take him, but I'm happy for family and friends to bring dogs along... Venue depending obviously!

I really hope our dog can be involved. She's still quite young so think she'll just come for the photos. She's part of our family so would love her to be there for a bit.

I would love to have our Husky X Labrador with us but she tends to jump up & her coat is constantly shedding so she'd cover everyone with white fluff!

We really wanted our two toy poodles there for pictures but to try and get someone to bring them and then take them back for a couple of pictures is too much hassle for the dogs so have decided not to. But would have loved it!

I love the idea of a cat trotting done the aisle with the rings round it neck. In reality though that's never going to happen is it?! Dogs are much more obliging around these sorts of things.

It really is, I had her from her being 3 and me 13, so I understand people wanting their pets there, they are part of the family, but I think too unruley for my taste.

We didn't have our puppygirl when we for married so I would have thought anyone with pets at their wedding were crazy. Now is a different matter! She'd be there, at LEAST in the photos with us

    Hi Fran!

I am a big believer the day is about you and our guests should expect so too!

We don't have pets, but as you asked opinions either way, here it goes.

So if your guests know your pets are a great part of your lives, they'd probably like the idea of having them there as well.

Might be worth giving a heads up to pet-phobic guests, just so they can come prepared to be around them ?

    Cheers,

    Lil

i shall be having a meeter and greeter at the church Side saddle in a top hat and habit on my dapple grey irish draught as i am a keen side saddle rider, i also whip in for my local hunt so i shall be having our huntsman in his red jacket and top hat on my other grey horse, with 2 very well behaved hunting hounds, i am having our huntman blow for home as we leave the church as a married couple

My cat, Trev, is going to be the ringbearer. He is going to have a velvet cushion tied to his neck and the rings tied to the cushion, (he already wears a tuxedo as his black and white fur) and all the guests will be Oohing and Aahing as he walks down the aisle.

OK, is "encouraged" down the aisle with a toy mouse on a string and some catnip. And possibly his new laser pen. Just to entice him a bit more, we are inviting the vet and putting him at the back of the room.

(The above is all a fabrication of course - he has actually got to go to the cat hotel - Smiley sad - but wouldn't that be ace).

I am (provisionally) thinking i may ride my horse to the church dress and all.... we have had him 22years and he is a major part of the family. The church is literally a 1 minute horse ride fromour house/farm so not any busy roads or major riding to do!

i also have a litle dog who i would like to be there too! i am BONKERS lol!
