Poll: what month did you get engaged?

4th September, just before midnight on our two year anniversary.

We got engaged in September, OH took me away for a nice weekend and was planning to do it then but the ring didn't come in time so we got home, the ring came..we were unpacking and he got down on one knee in the bedroom and asked me then lol..not the most romantic thing ever, he said he couldn't wait any longer and was too excited.

That was on our 4th anniversary btw..said we'd arrange the wedding soon after...we're now 9 years together and on our wedding day we'll have been together 10 ? lol

December 15th. I always said i didn't want an Xmas proposal (nothing wrong with them but we're always with family and I wanted it to be just the two of us). He had been looking for a ring for a while. He found it on the Friday and was trying to decide when to propose then he couldn't wait and popped the question on the Saturday just before I went out for dinner with some friends (without him!) so not very romantic either.

1st of May, our three year anniversary.

February, but it was the 12th not the 14th, OH knew I'd be sick on him if he did it on Valentine's day!

We were a cliche on xmas day! he always wanted to do it when I'd least expect it and always said he would never propose at an obvious time: bday xmas, anniversary etc so it worked I was NOT expecting it!

July on our 3 year anniversary

June - no significance

November - no particular significance, we were on a weekend away

Feb but 22nd not 14th!

November 29th at my graduation ceremony!

August for us. It was the day before my birthday and a couple days before our third anniversary

September for us (3rd/2012) - no significance with the date, we were away for the weekend visiting somewhere that is special to me so he planned it for then

April. no significance .... And no elaborate planning, because I kept angsting over what he wasn't saying!

Movember! Nope not a typo he was doing Movember. So yeah, November, no reason, he had the ring & couldn't wait til Christmas!

December 9th - day after our 12 year anniversary (we have been together since 16). We had gone away for the weekend to celebrate and he proposed. He had had the ring for a year!! Waiting for the 'right moment' apparently!

December, Christmas Day.

January 9th in the French Alps, on the mountain.

December 1st. I found out afterwards that he had planned to do it 28th October on our 6 year anniversary. My friend was getting married a week later and apparently I had said to OH how mad she would be if someone turned up and had just got engaged...needless to say this put him off so he plucked another date. I love xmas but he said he hadn't wanted to wait any longer so did it on the first day of advent and no it wasn't in the calendar as most of my friends asked!

February. Not the 14th (a few days before I think). We were in Australia on holiday so can't remember the exact date.

New years eve. so either December or January depending on your POV.

Mine was another Christmas day proposal - in front of the Christmas tree and half my family!

January. Initial proposal wasn't a special day, but I only said maybe (explanation in my report). Actual proposal I accepted was later in the month on the nearest day he could do to St Dwynwen's day, and he proposed at St Dwynwen's cross.

Early January - no significance only that he incorporated ice skating in London so it had to be winter time really. I did accidentally spoil two potential dates before this - one in September cos I made a flippant comment that put him off (didn't even remember saying it and totally didn't mean it - damn my mouth!) and the second I unknowingly made plans with a friend on the same date he was looking for in December so he postponed it by a few weeks!

October, while we were on holiday, not a particularly special or significant date before that.
