I intended to do this too with lots of months to go - but I'm now down to 4 months to go and I still haven't got around to it!

For eyelash tinting you just have to have a patch test on your wrist normally, I think its 24 hours beforehand, so that kind of thing you can leave to last minute - but its probably worth having a trial at most new things, like you say, you don't want to end of with irritation or swollen body parts on the day of your wedding!

I think it's definitely worth testing things as far in advance as you can. I've been advised not to start any new skincare regime 3 months or less in advance of the wedding, and to have a final facial a few weeks in advance but not the week of the wedding in case of breakouts.

I've never waxed anything except my eyebrows (and that's traumatic enough) so am keeping an eye out for any IPL offers, it would be nice to have the bikini line and underarms sorted forever.

As beachbum said you'll prob need a patch test 24 hours before having your lashes tinted for the first time. Always worth getting them done a few days before a big event as it can leave a pale purple tinge around your lashes. Likewise if you are getting your brows tinted do it a few days in advance so they have time to tone down a little ?

Hiya! I worked as a beauty therapist for years & can honestly say that when it comes to waxing everyone finds the pain different. I tend to think that if you can cope with under arm waxing then bikini will be fine. Bikini line is hardly painful at all. It's only if you have a Brazilian or Hollywood that it might be more painful & depending on your therapist they may or may not make u take everything off. I'd recommend having it done a month or so before first so you can see how you react to it.

Also, I'd recommend having a trial fake tan trial too as everyone comes out different colours and it depends on the therapist how well it is usually

I will be having as much work done as possible!! I'm very lucky in that my MOH is also a very experience beautician so will be doing everything for me Smiley smile We are in the process of waiting for my eyebrows to grow so I can change the shape of them for the wedding. Loooong process I can tell you!

On the definites; eyebrow wax, hollywood wax (done by a different beautician as requires a different wax which she doesn't use), leg wax, underarm wax, full body spray-tan, eyelash extensions, shellac mani & pedi.

Definitely start trying things out now- it's def worth getting a spray-tan done for a night out to see if you like it! Remember as well that your beautician can vary the shade of your tan, so explain it is for your wedding!

Oh dear, think I may be going against the grain here. I'm having my eyebrows waxed, that's it. The rest I am just doing myself as usual. No fake tan either, I'm usually pale, so people will look at me oddly if I turn up looking like I've already had my honeymoon.

I have my eyebrows waxed anyway but will also be having my underarms done. Having acrylics or shellac on my nails. Naturally pale like Maxine and probably will keep it that way ?

I have HD Brows done every few weeks and they are fab!! I will be having them done for the wedding, thinking about having a few facials in the run up too and also buying some Bare Minerals serum which is great for tightening the skin (although expensive), I will have the legs waxed, I am also considering maybe doing a sun bed just up until one month before the wedding as I am usually really brown but due to the lack of summer at the moment I have no opportunity to catch some rays. I have considered spray tans but I am not a huge fan.

I'll be having a spray tan, a neck, back and shoulder massage, manicure and pedicure and get my eyebrows waxed if I dare.

I am hoping to have everything except the massage on the tuesday before our wedding, and the massage on the day before, but not sure how the oils etc will effect the spray tan.

I'm getting my hair cut and styled and eye brows waxed. Also getting my nails done, eyelash extensions and teeth cleaned.

Im quite tanned anyways so I'm not getting spray tan or anything. It's stuff I normally get done so I'm fine with what I'm having.

I live somewhere where these kinds of treatments aren't readily available, so I'm trying as much DIY stuff as possible. My epilator is amazing at keeping pits, legs and bikini line hairless (NO WAY is that going too close to the actual "bits", though!!). On my last UK trip, I splurged on loads of products from various people like Sanctuary Spa which it's been fab to try out. My absolute favourite product to date has been No 7's total renewal body scrub which has been a revelation for my upper arms, which used to be a little rough and now are smooth as a baby's bum. I'm lucky that I can tan naturally where I am, so don't need any fake tans. I'd be too worried about them transferring to my dress, anyhow - and I can't get over that smell!!! If I had to, I'd go to a tanning booth instead of that.

The only thing I'm thinking of having done professionally sometime is my eyebrows. They're naturally quite trim, and I've never done anything to them, but I think maybe a little shape would help frame my face. Definitely something to try out well before the wedding, though - just in case I turn out looking like a tranny! ?

Hah, well, yes, in my case it would be a very small tranny, too, since I'm also an 8 and only 5'2 with size 3 feet ?

13 year old boy is NOT a good look (other than for 13 year old boys!)

I'm doing pretty much nothing apart from hair and nails. I don't have the time and I think it would be weird having a fake tan as I have never had one.

I think it's nice doing these things but some people can go a bit over the top.

I'm having manicure (so my manky fingers look OK in the ring shots) but no falsies. Also pedicure since I'll be barefoot for the wedding. I will also have my eyebrows done, and eyelashes.

Now, you ladies will be able to help - eyelash extensions or tinting? I just want to look as if I'm wearing a decent amount of mascara without having to actually use any. Will tinting do that?

    Thanks!

I'll be having the normal waxing and then threading for my eyebrows along with a mani/pedi and possibly a henna design as well.

MrsH- not long now - looking forward to the African adventure? It might be better to get your lashes tinted as more practical for a fab Zanzibar wedding and safari. African salons aren't as up to date on things as UK ones and unlikely to be able to help much if anything goes wrong with the extensions.

Hi matey, yes I can't wait. Everything to do with the hen do and reception seems to be going tits up, and the holiday/wedding is the only thing I am really looking forward to. Tinting it is then Smiley smile

Do you still want to meet for a drink before you fly home? Send me an email so we can keep in touch and we'll sort something out Smiley smile
