Presents for bridesmaids/ushers

FUTURE MRS ANDREWS, 11 January, 2010 at 15:44 Posted on Planning 0 6

Hi,

Can anyone help me with ideas for presents for bridesmaids? Expense is a big issue, as I seem to be constantly over budget!! I am hoping to get away with £20 each maximum for gifts as I have 4 bridesmaids and there are 2 best men, 2 ushers and 2 mothers to buy for. Is that too cheap, or do you think thats reasonable?

Is jewellery for the girls and drink/hip flask type thing ok for the boys, or is that far to cliched?

Thanks.

Expense is a big issue to us too, so iam giving my step sister (CBM) a ring of mine which is a stunning 18ct white gold diamond ring (given to me by my dad) since i have lost weight its become too big, and i dont have the money to get it adjusted and had looked into selling it but would only get scrap value of £100 for it (it cost over £400) so for that and sentimental reasons i decided to give it to her as her 'gift' the youg BM's/Flower girls will be getting a beautiful Disney ornament each from F HINDS Jewellers which are costing about £30 each and H2B got his BM a watch tie pin and cufflink set for £25 x

Quite often bridesmaids get given the jewellery which they are going to wear on the day. So basically it depends what you want to spend and whether you want to get them something else too.

    Hi,

Normally the bridesmaids get their jewellery as a present (I did this for my bridesmaids when I got married) If you dont want to do that for them, how about a little pamper package - their nails done or a massage/facial etc (get them a voucher for your nearest salon)

If you do decide to go down the jewellery route & are not sorted yet, feel free to get in touch with me as I have a 3 for 2 offer on all bridesmaid stuff at the moment. If there is nothing on site that you like, I would be happy to make somethings bespoke to your specifications - I dont charge any extra for this service.
