Presents for wedding party

katie80uk, 15 April, 2014 at 13:42 Posted on Planning 0 1

For my wedding i have 2 bridesmaids my sister and my partners daughter (8) i am going to get them some jewellery as a thank you present and they get to keep the outfits etc, so i think thats enough for them. My partner will sort out presents for his best man, usher and dad. Do i have to get something for my partners mum? I havent decided to what to get my mum yet as she is giving me away, paid for my wedding dress and a few bits and just generally been my mum. But my Mother in Law has done nothing at all, we dont get on anyway, hasnt offered to pay for anything or helped in anyway at all. Just been a bit interferring in who should be invited! So should i be getting here anything? I know you usually give the mums flowers but i really dont feel she deserves anything but will expect it

If you are publically giving gifts, you must include your MIL - anything less looks very dreadful on your part.

To avoid unnecessary gift-giving, you could opt to give your gifts in private in the morning?

I was going to get my mum something special as she has helped loads and give that to her in the morning.

So i suppose i should really get them both flowers to give publicly so shows i am being fair. The Mother in law doesnt need to no my mum got something else from me before hand lol
