Presents for your Mums

Mezzy, 31 August, 2010 at 14:21 Posted on Planning 0 4

Hi all

I have less than three weeks to go, aaaargh!

We're just sorting out gifts for the bridal party and the Mums now and I'm struggling a little. My parents go on holiday three days after we get married and my mum requested already that we don't get her flowers as a thank you as she won't be around to enjoy them! I know she won't mind not getting a present at all but my parents have been brilliant in the lead up to the day and I'd like to get them a token of appreciation. What did you all get your Mums/parents? Budget up to £80 ish really.

Thanks in advance!

    Hi

have you thought about a photo album? I've made quite a few of these and they always go down well with the parents!

There are a couple at the bottom of this page PARENTS ALBUMS

also newspapers from the day they were married?

    HTH

Jewellery is a lovely gift for mum. They can wear it again and again rather than binning some flowers after a week!

I have lots of styles suitable on my website www.louloubelle.co.uk both under "Occasion" and "Bridal" as all bridal styles can be adapted to incorporate colours if wanted.

One idea which is gorgeous for mums is using silvery grey freshwater pearls. You can see an example here which is "Mermaid" and "Pearl Drop" but I have two other examples which aren't on the website. I do have photos - if you would like me to email them over please drop me a line on ****@***********.**.**

    And a few other ideas

As well as the designs you can see on the website, I also offer a completely free bespoke design service. There's feedback from one happy customer here who ordered bespoke jewellery for her mother and the mother of the groom. http://www.louloubelle.co.uk/bespokeservice.html

I'd be happy to discuss some ideas with you if you’d like to drop me an email on ****@***********.**.** – timescale/budget isn't a problem either.

    Hiya

what about something to be planted in the garden "a permanent" reminder instead.. it will last years and will be something great to look out.. maybe a rose with a special name "Wedding" or your mums name, as most names have roses?

    or a water/non water feature??

Ooh, some great ideas - thanks ladies!

They'd both love a water feature actually - off to Google! ?
