Pretty new shoes that may be too big....and soles that are too nice to walk on

memyselfandi, 17 June, 2009 at 20:58 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 7

I swear my feet are in between sizes...... After my lovely personal shopper experience at JL and finding this dress (which I was very excited about but MrI has pissed on a bit, ***) I stumbled across the Selfridges sale and found these. Problem is, I think they're slightly too big, are there inserts available?

Orso, the soles are suede and although I'll happily walk on normal leather it seems a bit rude to subject suede to the streets of London, should I suck it up or get bottom grippy things?

Good purchasing! What did Mr I say about the dress? I'm assuming he said something mean and he didn't actually piss on your dress. Cool shoes too, insoles should sort them out. Not sure about the grippy bottom things though. I think I'd just suck it up.

Both lovely. Re shoes, you can get insoles from any shoe shop- I always find these do the job. Re soles, I never bother although I know people who automatically get a half rubber sole put onto all their shoes like that. Up to you.

The dress is urine free, MrI just said he preferred another frock that I loathe as it made me look like the very defination of a frumpy mother who has lost her sense of self. To be fair I'm still doing cow duties so my boobs are rather larger than usual and in a maternity bra were rather popping out of the orange dress, I think he was afraid they'd fall out while the rector was annointing the boychild's head.

Have now just got to retrain my feet and legs to cope with heels in the next three days, alternatively I could train the child to push me in the pram for a change.

A pair of insoles and /or heel grips should sort the shoes out - they're gorgeous! And I love the colour of the dress, it'll look fab with those shoes.

Love the dress - I have it too!

Posted a thread about it a few days ago, asking about what shoes to wear with it. Sadly I don't have the pennies to buy the ones on the link you have posted, which is a shame as they are lovely.

They were on sale so 'only' £135. LK Bennett actually has some nice nude/beige shoes in their sale as well, they have the added benefit of lengthening legs ?
