Printing names on both side of name places

Random Name, 13 July, 2011 at 17:35 Posted on Planning 0 7

Does anyone know how I can do this in word?

I have a template for name place cards but wanted the names printed on both sides of the card. When I try text rotation its only gives me the options of sideways but not upside down.

Anyone know how I can do this please?

I know it's not quite the same, but if you use a WordArt box you can rotate that in Word.

Alternatively, if you use Microsoft Publisher you can rotate text boxes any angle you want.

You can also rotate text fully in Powerpoint if you don't have publisher Smiley smile

I'd use powerpoint. I think you can do it in word with a setting but can't remember what - font settings/alignment? Don't have word on this PC (got open office) so cant check.

Draw a text box to type in your name (the tool is on the drawing toolbar if you can't see it and looks like A|). Move the cursor so it changes to a hand and click on the text box, then copy it. Go to the Edit menu and choose Paste special > Picture. You can now select the picture and rotate it using the Free rotate tool in the picture format box (looks like a swirl). Do this again so you have two name pictures, then delete the original text box. To position them where you want them on the card you'll need to select the pictures and change the text wrapping from In line with text. Also deselect Move with text (may be in the Advanced tab).

That would work, but you have to put the paper/card through TWICE! Thats getting technical too. We did it with our invites - easier than faffing.

Thanks Lawie, that sounds technical. May just stick with the normal printing
