Proposals

My OH proposed in Majorca too. It was the day after my birthday last year and we were walking along the beach at night this is not at all unusual for us when we're on holiday but I thought something was afoot as the football was on and I knew it was a game he would have wanted to watch. Anyway we'd been walking for ages and he suddely stopped to 'give me a hug' then he got down on one knee and asked. He's got a little speech prepared and everything! I cried, he was emotional and then the whole island erupted in fireworks and street parties. Spain had just one the football we'd missed and gone through to the Euro finals!!!

We were on holiday in Florida last year, it was my 30th birthday, and we had just been swimming with the dolphins at discovery cove (check out my avatar pic). We got back to the villa after a fantastic day Steve had arranged for my mum to keep hold of the kids for a bit longer and we went for a walk around our resort had a few giggles and made our way back, and just before we went back inside he prtended to drop something and i looked down to see what he was doing and there he was open handed holding the ring, he was so nervous he couldnt even speak!!!

Steve later told me the purpose of the walk was to try and find the lake we could see from the villa and he was going to do it there but as it was still a pretty new resort we ended up getting to what seemed like a building site! and on the way back we got a few funny looks from the sheriff doing his patrol, im sure he thought we were trying to swipe building materials!!

I surprised B2B with a long weekend at Disneyland Paris for our 4 year anniversary. I had the ring with me and as we were wandering around the park, I kept checking I still had it in my pocket - was soooo paranoid about losing it on one of the rides. As the sun set I dragged her back to the pricess castle and took her up onto the balcony where I went onto one knee with the ring and asked her to marry me. She totally couldnt believe it! ? Must have been a shock as it took her at least 5 minutes to check out the ring! We then went for dinner in the rainforest cafe and spent 3 days trying to phone her parents to tell them (wanted to tell them before anyone else) and everytime they werent both in...got there eventually though!

Wow that sounds lovely, i notice you dont have long to go, how is everything coming together??

Thanks! Not long to go at all Lorna ? Everything that we can do is done until we have the mad panic the week before setting everything up, etc....just want it to hurry up!

We were on a big family holiday in florida, oh had gone out with my brother to book some helecopter rides (or so i thought). I went to have a shower in our villa getting ready to go out for the evening when he arrived back and climed into the shower with me, holding the crappy bar of soap you get in your rooms and asked me to wash his back, i said i wasn't using that soap and it had a grubby mark on it and grabbed the shower gel, he asked me to use the soap again and i said no so he then turned to me and said i wanted you to use this soap because.... there was a short pause as he broke the soap open and there was this huge diamond ring as he said i want you to marry me. I cried as i said yes.

We finished getting ready, shouted my boys into our room to tell them, asked them not to say anything then when we got to the restaurant ordered champagne and told the rest of them.
