God, she's such a total fantasist.

Loved the interview clip about the landmines.

"Well I was involved in this issue way before Diana"

I am watching most of this open mouthed. I also liked the fact that she reckoned that she could have become an MP several times, oh and not just a backbencher. Erm so she bypasses party selection, hustings and general elections then. Seriously you would think you would at least look into what you were lying about on national television?

I think I would add her to my fantasy dinner party guest list though for entertainment at least.

I really find her just totally wrong. I don't care if she married for money or that she was an ex prostitute. It's her life and she chose that route, as do many women. Fine.
I just find her to be such a liar. a bare faced liar who just carries on and on with her fantasies.
    MP - ?
    Diana - ?
The abuse with her friend - all made up. I can't believe that letter, offering her friend £10k to keep quiet and go along with it!

Whatever she has done, or is alledged to have done, I find this witch hunt uncomfortable.

I don't like the woman one bit, but the press are way over the top on her. Just leave her to get on with her sad little life.

I don't like her either, however she is a media whore, she can't have it both ways can she? She puts herself out there, on GMTV, in the papers etc and can't just turn it all off when it goes bad.

I do see your point, but I still think she has been villified beyond all proportion.

I am fairly sure she has mental problems and needs a lot of help. The press put her on the front pages, and are just feeding the cycle.

I agree the focus has been OTT over the last year due to the divorce case, however, she seems to thrive on the publicity, why else would anyone make up lies, claim to be what they aren't if not for publicity?

She can't really have it all ways, she has repeatedly pushed herself in the limelight for her own gain. In my opinion the 'poor me' act only started when she receive negative publicity and was pulled up on her tall tales. She can't have it all ways ?

    She's a slapper.

    I've known a few myself.

You'd think McCartney would know better, but then.....

I think she always comes across like she has got a screw loose, but then to be as comfortable as she seems to be in the public eye I guess maybe you need to.

Personally I dont think much of Macca either, but thats just cos there is something about him that gives me the creeps.

Say what you really mean ONE ?

I agree with PB and Maxi. She courts the media attention left, right and centre. She loves it.
How very classy of her to pour a vase of water over another woman just because this woman represented Paul.

I had to laugh at her living expenses too:
499,000 annually for holidays, including private flights and helicopter hire.

    £125,000 per year for clothes.

£542,000 for security – £380,000 more than Sir Paul#%92s assessment of HIS protection needs.

    £627,000 for charitable donations.

    £190,000 for professional fees.

£30,000 for equestrian activities, though she no longer rides.

£39,000 for wine, though she does not drink.

    £73,000 for business staff,

    £43,000 for a driver and £20,000 for a carer.

£39,000 for helicopter flights taking her to hospital for treatment on her severed leg.

You're right it is a cycle and they are only putting her on their front pages because of her odd behaviour and wacky outbursts, it sells doesn't it and rather than her have some dignity and not fight back as it were, she has to go against advice and go on and rant and rave, media will report it, etc etc.

Isn't that common assault, why was she not in trouble for that? Mind you, they probably wanted well rid of her.

Oh what a tangled web - you'd think she would work out that to keep telling lies only gets her into deeper water. I would feel a bit sorry for her but she's a gold digger and I don't abide those sorts.

? at Smiley re Macca - plus I can't stand Macca's music either - it's rubbish (but that doesn't mean he should be extorted)

Well that's because she's been given [high-pitched] worse press than a paedophile or a murderer [/high pitched]

If she stopped behaving like a twat and putting herself in the limelight, then I am sure that number would go down.

One of the clips last night showed her saying that she could ski better than the German National champion.

Well, blow me, she should be on our team then...

I think that, and her comment about dealing with mines before Diana, compounded my belief that she is a complete and utter fantasist, and is probably not completely aware of the lies she spouts even herself. I suspect it is a result of her childhood, which if nothing else, was very disruptive with her mum running off, and her dad ending up in the nick. I can't have been nice, and I would think escaping into fantasyland was her best solution.

In that respect, I feel sorry for her, but only a little, as she clearly was after Macca for some cash.

    I'm just watching this now.

Did the programme talk about her pretending to be a journalist because there was a journalist called Heather Mills so she was using her articles to get attention and claiming she'd written them?

I didn't watch the programme in question but I did see her in person yesterday at Heathrow - she got off the same Virgin flight from LA (she was in 1st class obviously and I was in cattle class?) but she barged past everyone when we got to the luggage reclaim area then stood there waving her arms around like a loony shouting really loudly to someone whom I assume was her PA, that her bags would be coming round shortly...talk about attention seeking - she kept getting louder and louder to make sure everyone noticed she was there.

Ah yes, I had forgotten about that one song - I thought that one was great even to the point that I learnt to play it on the piano when I was younger. But the rest are still rubbish?

Does anyone else find it slightly odd that she requested money in the settlement for 'charitable donations'? I don't think that I would consider it to be a charitable donation if I was giving away someone else's money.
