Purple flower ideas needed please

Bobbins30, 7 July, 2010 at 19:54 Posted on Planning 0 8

Our colour scheme is purple and silver and I'm really stuck on flowers.

For my bouquet, I want colour in it, not just cream roses. I like the more un-uniformed shapes IYSWIM rather than the 'domed' style, hope I'm making sense! I'd like a bit of greenery in there as well but not keen on beargrass. I also like modern styles rather than the country garden style

For centrepieces, I know I want tall slim vases with around 3 stems in them, but again, am stuck on the flowers.

Has anyone got any pics that they can flash please to give me some ideas? Have tried googling but cant see anything that I like and need to have meeting with flower lady in next couple of weeks. So, no beargrass, something a bit different, and no gerberas!

Please help!

A friend of mine got married last year and had a pink and silver theme, her bridesmaids were in silver and she was in purple.

ive just trawled my albums on facebook and realised that her flowers were avariety of different pink shades of gerberas and her table centers were a long thin vase with some beads ond one of these!
you can just see the beads!

oh she had silver shoes too!!

I'm having an aubergine and champagne gold theme but think the flowers recommened by my florist would suit your theme too

    Purple Lisianthus

    Ivory Freesias

    Eucolyptus Leaf

I'm also having pearl and diamante clusters.

Hope this gives you some ideas-can't wait to see my bouquet!

    Hi

I am having a long stemmed bouquet laid across my arm; my colour scheme is purple with cream and yellow. So my bouquet is 3 long stemmed lisianthus, 3 cream stemmed roses and 2 yellow roses with some large green leaves stuff at the back of it all. Does that make sense or am I talking poo!!? Anyways....it'll look cool I think! Don't have pics though.

I'm hopefully having purple anemones and hydrangeas. This will be quite a uniformed round shape though.

I have seen a gorgeous bouquet of anemones. When I searched google images if you search purple anemones vera wang you should see it.

There are lots of purple flowers such as anenomes, trachellium, lisianthus, vanda orchids. If you want contemporary rather than country style hand-tieds, maybe orchids or lisianthus would be a better choice than the anenomes. These are lisianthus:-

    These are vanda orchids:-

These are all artificial flowers but if you are wanting fresh flowers, pop into your local florist and ask to see her portfolio - most florists can show you lots of photographs of their work to give you some ideas. Hope that helps.
